Izzy, what a great picture of you! I have never had a pet dragon before and can only imagine how awesome it must be to watch you 'strut your stuff'. I think snakes are very cool (I had two of them for many years), but I'm sure that you have much more personality and are probably better company for your humans. You certainly are a gorgeous 'beast' and it sounds like you have a wonderful life. Congratulations on being Pet of the Day!

Izzy is gorgeous! My first Beardie was named Pineapple and I bought him because he looked 'different' and I'd never had a pet lizard before. Now, I am totally hooked on reptiles of all sorts and they beat more usual pets hands down! ;)
I have often seen them in the wild, as a kid, living in the far north of Western Australia (known as the Kimberley), but had never considered putting one in a cage and never realised they could be kept as pets!
Now, all these years later, here I am with my darling lizards and loving them.
I have mine in a large ractangle wooden construction. no lid, 45cm high (about 18 inches) with a waterproof piece of matting on the floor, and newspaper layered on top of that, which is easy to change and clean. I often let my lizards roam free in the house (my turtles too for that matter) and they like that. They like living in my lougeroom where they can see everything that is going on and it makes them less nervous of being handled and they tame quicker. I have my two smaller Beardies in a proper glass tank enclosure, as the bigger guys pick on the littlies.
I sometimes give them all a bath together though. That way they get a bit used to each other, but are too busy hoping I'm not about to drown them  to bother with who is big and who looks like 'Lunch' :p .
Anyway, as I said, Izzy looks gorgeous and I'm sure he brings you lots of fun and happy times!
Hooroo,
Lizard
