a friend brought a cat round to me a couple of days a go she had to cut an elastic band off her neck. she had a deep cut round her neck but it dosent seem infected. The people who own the cat have brought her round to see if i want her. Iv had the cat but dont know if i should cover the wound or not to stop her scratching it and it becoming infected. i have another cat im worried they might fight she hasnt been taken to a vet and i cant afford to take her till next week. Any advice.

I would keep te two cats seperated, and keep the wound from getting infected. But if you can get this cat to the Vet ASAP!

Im planning to but cant afford the vets bills till next thursday. Shes eating and drinking well and isnt in pain.

I shouldnt have really taken her in but the people she came from have a lot of kids one being disabled and it may have been one of the kids that did this to her. Although it could have been anyone as she comes and goes as she pleases. she has had 3 homes already mine will be the 4th im not sure how old she is but i think shes under 6 months any idea what age cats can be pregnant from?

My other cat is male and i dont want kittens.

If i remmber correctly it is 6 months when they can get pregnant! you must keep them seperated. And I would reccomend getting bot cats spayed/neutered. For heath reasons at the least.
