Cross-posting from Handipets Haven:

Tiny 1 month old female kitten (looks 2 weeks old)
Ex-Veterinarian feels she has dislocated hip,
not spina bifeda, and with treatment can lead a normal life.

Casa Grande, Arizona (Between Phoenix and Tucson)

Older incapacitated poverty stricken woman
is feeding her, but cannot continue because of her own health problems
and Animal Control want her to put her down
without diagnosing first.

PLEASE FOLKS - THIS BABY NEEDS OUR HELP SO MUCH.
She is sweet, has feeling in her legs,
but cannot walk.

Quite possibly, treatment will help her live a normal life.

NEED SOMEONE TO PICK UP KITTY - CASA GRANDE, AZ.
NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE TO THE VET.
NEED FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE VET, ONCE KITTY IS THERE.
NEED SOMEONE TO FOSTER.
NEED SOMEONE TO ADOPT WHEN SHE IS HEALED AND WELL.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
IT DOES TAKE A VILLAGE TO SAVE ONE ANIMAL..

Contact Joy Ray ASAP at this email:
[email protected]
if you can do something for her.

So so sad.

Thank you
Joy Ray

If you cannot, then please continue to network this far and wide, and hopefully this email will get into the right hands
and this 1 month old kitty will be saved....

We wish we could take this Baby in.
All we can offer is Prayers and Momma Cat Angels to visit the Tiny One.

The rescue organization has her in their keeping and are trying to transport her to a home in southern California. Here's the email I got:

"She is not weaned, and I know the woman (by previous phone calls relating to other cats dumped on her)
This woman is feeding the kitten, kitten formula and trying to nurse it as best as she can. She cannot even afford the formula, let alone feed all the other ferals surrounding her mobile home. One of the groups in Arizona has come to her aid and has had 22 cats so far spayed and neutered and released...back to where they were..and this elderly, sick woman is doing all she can to feed them.

One of the women who came from this rescue told her she is an ex vet as well as her daughter who is going to vet school that it seems this kitty has a dislocated hip and not spina bifeda.. which by the way I just had rescued and placed in a great home in Arizona..Thank you God.

I think I have someone who will take this kitten in, Visalia, CA take her to her vet where she works and get half price, and will foster and place her....So if this goes through, then all I need is for someone to transport from Casa Grande AZ to Visalia CA and once I have the contact info of the vet I will need donations.

The kitten is a female, 1 month old, but very tiny from malnutrition and looks 2 weeks old and cannot seem to walk on her hind legs..... this is all I know right now.

Would you continue to post this updated Information for me, as well as the original story? "

The kitten is going to be bottle-fed by her current foster mom for another two weeks until she is strong enough to travel to California to the foster mom who is going to take her to the vet where she works. The woman, Joy, who first posted about this kitten lost her husky yesterday morning and is deeply upset, so much so that she has asked her rescue contacts not to ask her for help for a while - except for this one kitten.

So, does anyone here know someone who is travelling from Phoenix, Arizona to Los Angeles or San Francisco anytime soon? Visalia, which is where the kitten is going, is between those two cities. I'm going to post this request in the General forum also.
