Bad Icess. Bad, Bad, Bad!! Update 11/11/06

My goodness! This kitty is crazy!! He likes to chase anything and everything that moves! Well, last night he decided to chase my eyelashes! He ended up poking me in the right eye. I went to the eye doctor this morning because my eye hurt so bad. I have a puncture on my cornia!! I am on antibiotic drops and pain drops! Pretty painfull! I just thought I would share his naughty behaivior with you. It is really hard to see, but I still have one good eye...he better not even think about it again! I still love him though!! Kits will be kits!!

Seriously, maybe Icess should get acquainted with a pair of claw clippers. If he won't let you clip his claws, check to see if a groomer will do it for you.

OUCH! Be very careful with that scratch! I scratched my corneas many years ago and when they healed, it left scarring which is now affecting my vision. I may be in line for a corneal transplant! Follow your doctor's instructions to the letter.

I was going to suggest clipping nails, someone else got to that idea first.

Also, multi cat households, keep in mind what she says: VERY PAINFUL. Sparkle and Vita have lived together for 9 years and sometimes just get in each other's face, like all siblings do from time to time. And Vita did this to Sparkle, at 11 PM. On a Saturday night. (My vet does not open on Sundays.) Went to the emergency vet; it cost a lot, but the pain killer helped her so much.

I've also heard cats may do this to a new puppy arrival in the family.

I have scratches on my legs where the Kitten Trio has used me for a ladder, and have had JJJ3 land on my chest.
But thtas nothing compared to having a scratch on your eye.
We hope and pray that its nothing serious.
We are sure Icess is very sorry.

Thank you everybody. I already clipped Icess's nails last week. But the impact of him poking me with extended claws, it made a puncture. I know he didn't mean it, but he is still a naughty kit! We still love him.

Thank you for all your wishes. I had to lock Icess in a cage tonight. He tried attacking my lashes again tonight. I don't know what is with him. I feel bad for locking him up, but I have no choice. Hopefully he will grow out of his eye fetish. Still in a lot of pain. But not as much as this morning. Thank you again everybody.

Icess is more loving then ever. I guess it is his way of saying he is sorry. My eye is still very sensitive to light. I hope it is fine while I work tonight. I work at a bar, and I fear the smoke will irritate it.
