Oh my, I got huge smile on my face after reading about you two. You are so funny! I can tell you love your human very much and he loves you, and why shoulnd't he? You two are just precious! I hope he lets you be a bit naughty today, and if he doesn't, be anyway, ok?;) Maybe Vince can sign a bit today, and you Mia can punch some tin foil balls.
Whatever you decide to do, have fun today as we honor you two as our COTD!!! CONGRATULATIONS sweet Mia and Vincent!

When I saw the picture of the two cats with three guitars in the background, I figured it must be one apiece for each of the felines and their human. Although he did not acknowledge that this is the case, probably out of fear that if the world were to learn of the unusually musical abilities of Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega some slick agent would come and steal them away, I none-the-less believe it to be true.

I sure would like to be present when those three pick up their guitars and begin to cat-er-waul. I'll bet it is quite the sound to hear.

It's great to see kitties that need a home find someone who needs kitties. They sound like real characters, too.

WOW - Two beautiful furrbabies today! Mia and Vince, you are too wonderful! We loved your story and are very pleased that you have such a great human to rub your tummies!!!

Warbling??? We have cooing and chattering here, but I'm not sure what a warble (coming from a cat) really is...can you expand on that???

The two of you are a super choice for starting off our week - congratulations from all of us...have a great day knowing you are being viewed from around the world!!!!

Purrs, noserubs and snuggles,

Mia and Vincent, what a beautiful pair of cats you are. I love that photo of the both of you. It sounds like you keep your human busy all the time thinking of new ways to entertain you, but the reward to him is the wonderful companionship that he gets from you. Congratulations dear, beautiful Mia and the most handsome Vincent Our Very Best Cats of the Day. I'm sure your human will be giving you some extra special treats on your very special day.

Oh no! I can tell the fame is going to go to their heads now!
To warble: When Vincent has a lot to tell me (and sometimes he really has a lot of interesting news), he doesn't stop to drink water..so he keeps mewling while he's drinking..hence the warble. He probably picked that habit up from me...I'm just a slob, you know.
Also in today's kitty olympics...Mia won the gold for pulling down the moulding attached to my kitchen cabinets (don't think they were designed for kitty pull ups)!
The following picture is going to come back to haunt them when they try to run for office. Although I don't think Valerian root is a controlled substance yet.

That picture with their kitty legs up in the air as they writhe in a valerian-induced trance is priceless!!! I used to joke that I am my cats' catnip pusher...(Does valerian have the same effect on babies? :D )

Count Pudyoola not only are you owned by two gorgeous looking cats they really know how to have a good time. Unfortunatley valerian smells like stinky running shoes  but if it makes them happy...enjoy your special day.

They were pretty offended when I guessed their breed wrong (they are closer to Maine Coon) and that I forgot to send in their ages (both are 2 1/2).
Mia's chewing me out here.

Of course, she can't really hold it against me as I just recently caught her trying to steal my beer brewing kit...when she knows she's still a minor.

Vince really didn't care...he's pretty much a forgiving lazy lump.

Countpudyoola - what a breath of fresh air you are............
please join us on a regular basis and share the antics of Mia and Vincent. It isn't that we "like" cats here - it is that we are gaga over them - and love to hear each others stories and see the pictures.

Besides, like a few others on the forum, you have a great knack for writing.

Mia's face is quite 'female' and Vince you look all 'male' (even a little M. Coon, perhaps?)

Either way, you guys are a perfect pair for COTD!

And one more thing: my kitties LOVE Valerian too- almost as much as Catnip :p

Hello Countpudyoola,

Your kitties were named after two characters in Pulp Fiction, weren't they? (Maybe you should get a third cat and name him Jules Winnfield!) I couldn't help but scratch my head after seeing the name "Vincent Vega", thinking that I've heard it somewhere before...but where oh where? Then on a hunch I checked out the
IMDb website for Pulp Fiction (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0110912) and sure enough, there it was--Vincent Vega (played by John Travolta) and Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman)!!! (I hope that your Mia doesn't OD one of these days, where Vincent would have to stab her chest with an adrenaline shot! :D )

I've almost forgotten what a great movie Pulp Fiction was, and naming your cats after two of its memorable characters was such a neat tribute...

May you visit this site often and share your critters' antics...I treasure this site because no a**holes dare post here...:D

Hi Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega! What a pair you two are!!:D Laurel and Hardy??? Abott and Costello? Ut oh, they're "all guy" teams!! Still, I'm sure that you two crazy kids, just like those two other laugh riots, keep your human in stiches 24/7!! Did I tell you yet how handsome and beautiful you are? A person couldn't ask for a more lovable, laughable, delightful pair than Mia and Vincent! Congratulations to you Mia and Vincent on claiming the most coveted honor of Cats of the Day! You are simply the best! And your Dad's pretty special too!!;)(P.S..I'm so happy you could stay together!!:)

;) These two are adorable! I know they're described as long hairs, but could there be some Maine Coon in them? They have alot of the characteristics of my M.C., "Michael" (not Mike, Mikey, or any derivative thereof; he's quite "regal" -- and about 21 pounds to back it up!)

How wonderful, that you could take littermates. My cats have all been rescue kitties: one was feral, Michael was hit by a car and rescued by my vet, who wanted to find him a home... and my newest is a kitten who's mother is feral. (I live in the country) The mother brought all 4 kittens to my friend's doorstep when they were only a day or so old, and left them. SOOO, it was lots of bottle feeding! However, the mother cat has hung around (at a safe distance, of course) and sort of "watched over" the raising of her babies -- strange, huh?!

My kids also like to help with my keying... usually by lying beside the keyboard and feigning sleep -- only to reach out and press a key (or 6!) now and then...

Just because I'm curious, how did you select the names?

What an absolutely priceless pair of real characters!! :p :p

They are so full of life and fun you must never want to leave them even to go shopping!

I love when cats get so involved with running the house - that's exactly how it should be....

I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and my three darlings are the reason I am always happy!

You two darlings enjoy all the fan mail and have a fabulous day of fame.

Big purrs from Monte, Mimi and Angel Baby.

And here all this time we've been hogging the valerian! - she's in for a treat tonight! We love Mia & Vince - I didn't get my COTD fix this morning, so am just now checking them out! Maybe if Grasshopper gets enough valerian she'll mellow out and let us bring home another furrperson?
Miaows and Purrs to you, Count!

Well, Mia's pretty well matched with Uma Thurman but Vince is a whole lot better looking than John Travolta.

Well, Mia could see that the time was coming to pass the torch to the new COTD , as the newcomer was already on the horizon. M&V were content however, as Jake appears to be a great cat of similar roots. "Kudo's Jake", they mewl. You're a fine guy and not a bad looker, too. Vince would set you up with his sister , but alas she's been...well...fixed.
Even though they can see the torch continue on past the horizon in Jake's able paw...they fondly remember June 10th when they got extra stinky food (that the human has to put on a plate), extra long feather time and plenty of petting time on the couch while the human cackled at something called Zoolander.
http://www.countpudyoola.com/files/newcat.jpg "Thanks everybody!"

Yes, indeed, the torch has passed as it always does, to June 11th and a beautiful cat named Jake.

However, Mia and Vincent can still have their moments - every day - and trust us - if you post pictures - we all respond!

Welcome to COTD's Pet Talk. As to your question of how Mia and Vincent got their names, see my post (two messages ahead of yours). Not that anybody would care, but I work no more than 30 minutes from the Hawthorne Grill in Hawthorne, Calif., where the diner shots in "Pulp Fiction" were filmed... (Oh my, doth we ever milk our tenuous link to celebrity!!!)
