Hello my name is Julie and I am not too sure about who else can answer my question. Yesterday (thursday the 2nd) I had my 2.1 pound chi fixed. He's doing ok eating and drinking but I am scarred to put him in his "house" in fear that he will lick the inncession point which isnt good for it at all. I was wondering when he could "lick" it and no compliacations come from it . Thus the sooner he go back to his own bed. Thank you for whatever time you give

If he doesn't begin licking it in the first few days he probably won't. It won't be completely healed for 7 to 10 days. He should be watched closely during that time. If he begins licking you'll need to put an Elizabethan collar on him. He should not be kenneled or left unsupervised with the Ecollar on.
