Well its been 7 weeks with Jasmine and we have been working very hard with Conventional Meds and Holistic Health care to cure her of Demodectic Mange.
Fostering her for Tri State Collie rescue has been nothing but a joy to have her health rebound in the way it has. Tomorrow she goes to the vet for her final scraping and we are all here at Majestic Collies hoping all will be Negative. For those who have not gotten the chance to follow her story, here she was when we had her arrive here and now tonights after pics. Please say a little prayer for Jasmine that she has rid herself of this terrible mange. Not only did it effect her face but she was virtually hairless on her two front legs.

Wow, what a huge improvement. You have done a wonderful job, Tim, and I am sure with your care she has completely gotten over that horrible infection. She looks gorgeous. Now, what I am not sure I understand is, if she is clear of the mange will she be leaving your care for another foster home, now that she is no longer a special needs pup? Or will she stay with you until finding her forever home?

As soon as she is cleared of Mange she will then be spayed. I will get her rested from that. And the super news is there is a adoption pending at this point in time. So as soon as she recovers from her spay, its off to a new loving home for Jasmine.

We are home from the vet and I am happy to say that Jasmine is DM NEGATIVE.
We had three skin scrapings done in various effected areas and found parts of only two dead mites.
We were going to have her spayed but there seems to be a problem everytime I get a female cured from Demodectic Mange they want to go into heat. So I will be contacting the Tri State Collie Rescue Director and have to have jasmine removed. It will be almost impossible for her to stay here with my stud Steele around. He is already climbing the walls to get to her.
Thank you to all who may have said a little prayer for her well being last night for her appointment at the vet.

NICE WORK on running off the Mange Mites!! :)

But :( NUTZ! on the re-fostering ...

What a shame that you can't keep her till she's "finished" and ready to go HOME.

Can't you give Steele a *Chill Pill* ??

BEST of Luck to Jasmine in her pending Home!!
