I had a little photoshoot with my girls yesterday, nothing special I'm afraid, but I just thought you might like to have a little refreshment of the Lancashire Lasses :). My camera is still a little loopy, it flashes when it pleases Anyway, a little update, the gerbils have a new cage, it's better for them as it's a lot deeper than the last one so they are having a lot of fun digging! I tried to get a good picture of it, but my brother was having a strop and insisted on standing in front of it

And the gerbils (on these pics, no idea which is which, they were all so hyper I just took pics as fast as I could!)

I love this pic of her. Just a split second after I took the picture, she fell off the toy reindeer's head (onto another teddy, so she's fine ;) )

Attack of the toy dog!

As I said, not very exciting pics unfortunately, but I'll try and get some better ones in the future :)

Awww -- they're all so cute, and the extra deep new cage will be great for them to dig around in now :) And Tia has the cutest little face in the reindeer pic!

I have a large box of biodegradable packing peanuts (they're made of puffed corn starch) that the ferrets like to dig around (and fight) in - good for a laugh, especially now that its colder and they come out with them clinging to their tails :D

Thanks everyone!

Just a little update about the cage, the gerbils are doing great in it. Ebony has more energy than ever and Twilight is digging tunnels for England :p It's also benefitting Nightshade.

In the previous cage, the gerbils used to chew like crazy as I think they were getting a bit bored not being able to dig that much. Nightshade had a habit of chewing the bars, and she chewed them so much that a small patch of fur was beginning to rub off on her snout. It was only a tiny patch, and of course, nothing serious that caused her pain, but was beginning to look a little odd. Now, with plenty of digging to be done, the fur is growing back and she looks fine again.

I tried to take a before-and-after pic, but if you've ever tried to take a picture of a gerbil's nose with a mentally challenged camera, you'll know how hard it is! :D
