I am getting some pumpkins in a few days. My daughter, Sierra, is going to help me carve them. :)

10-26-2006, 10:02 PM
We have yet to get any pumpkins yet, either... though we will in a week or so!
Until then, here is a picture of my '05 pumpkin.

I'm not the greatest pumpkin carver, but I have fun with it. ^__^

I was so excited. Jonah is 2, and was recognizing pumpkins all over the place! So, we went to the pumpkin farm, and selected a cute one. He was able to carry it himself.

Saturday evening, we set up a carving station on the floor. Newspaper, knives, candle, etc. I begin to draw the pumpkin face and he cries,

Then, I begin to carve the pumpkin, and he sticks the pen in his mouth.

Then, I cut the lid off and pull out the junk. Does he help? OH NO! Way too messy for him. He wonders off to watch TV.

These pics were taken with my phone, so, not the best quality. My sis and i have carved pumpkins together every year for as long as i can remember.
I carved this one:
From left to right my sis', my husband's, and mine:

Haven't got our pumpkin yet :o . I think my mom is getting one while I'm at ballet tonight :) .

I might try the before mentioned bougieman one, it looks easier than some of the others out there. If it doesn't turn out well, I'll just say it's something scary. nothing in particular, just something scary. :p

10-30-2006, 03:19 PM
I only wish i could carve a pumpkin as good as these ones ...

... i usually end up with a pumpkin with the triangle eyes. :)

10-30-2006, 03:56 PM
Here's one of the ones I did. I'll (try to remember to) take a pic of the other one I did too.

Okay, I've had the pumkins since Friday, I have located the pumkin tools, now all I need to do is find the pattern sheets!!!

Or, I could just rely on my own creativity, ( if all else fails, use your BRAIN) :D

Great Pictures~~~ er~~~Pumpkins!!! (applause inserted here)

Angie, your pumkin is sooooo awesome!!!!!!!

10-31-2006, 02:19 PM

that horse one is amazing critter crazy! I've always hated the cold pumpkin juice, etc, so I usually use a drill or just paint mine. This year I never got around to it even though I could've picked one up at work any time.

10-31-2006, 10:58 PM
.Sarah, those are great! I love them!

10-31-2006, 11:13 PM
Aww, I'm officially jealous. They all look great! I didn't carve pumpkins this year :(

I never really liked carving pumpkins only did it for the kids . so Tim came up with the perfect solution for me. He made wooden ones found the pattern some where.
