I was contacted last week by a gentleman living in Calgary, Alberta. A close friend of his is needing to rehome their female White Shepherd. Here is the details.

They brought Luna(White Shepherd), Sasha (boxer) and Westie (West Hifghland) to Canada from Venezuela. She is getting divorced, has her mother coming to live with her for a while, and owns a Cafe in downtown Calgary. She is gone from home for most of the day and her mother does not care for animals......thus, the need to find good homes for them. Westie is in Delburne now with a widow who just lost her husband and a small dog at the same time.....that worked out great. Sasha went to a farm but chased the old family cat and was returned. Luna was to go to Red Deer but they changed their minds.

They do not want to see them go to the shelter as you know what happens if they are not taken.

They tell me Luna is about 5, in good health, not spayed, vet is Country Hills Vet Clinic, and is a nice girl. She does not care too much for other dogs but loves children and people in general.

Unfortunately I can't take Luna for them with Sheena coming into heat soon and then being bred I do not want any stress in the house hold for her. But I told them I would help as best I could and get the word out. If you know of any White Shepherd rescues in Canada or of someone who might be willing to adopt Luna please email me directly. Thanks so much.

Do a www.dogpile.com search for White Sheperd Rescues. You might not find any in Canada, but, rescues from the States take Canadian dogs.
