We would learn things like this:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in our face to be pure
ecstasy.

When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they've invaded your territory.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and
pout...run right back and make friends.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them
gently.

Never trust anybody until you sniff their butt.

The dogs in my life have definately tought me a lot about living.

Addie (my lab mix) has tought me about unconditional love.

As a puppy, she was beaten, starved, and left on the street to die. She is still so sweet and is quick to show her unbridled love for people with endless hugs and kisses.

Jake (my golden) has taught me to enjoy the moment.

His carefree, have fun, slobber all over attitude is a plus in in such a stressful world.

Cody taught me about nuturing.

Cody was my first dog, I ever trained myself. He is a sensitive dog and I had to learn to train him with a balance of patience, understanding, discipline, and love.

Ginger taught me about patience.

She was my first dog (a golden). As a child, I climbed on her, tried to ride her, pulled her hair, scared her with pop guns, and got her stuck in the top bunk in my sister's bedroom. Through all this, she never showed a tooth or gave a growl.
