I am worried sick about my poor Presley.. She is staying over night at the vets and i go and pick her up tomorrow evening after her spaying... Last night i was laying in bed thinking.. What if she gets lose on them.. What if they don't let her out to pee later on tonight (she never holds it longer then 8 hours). What if the most horrible things happen... When i dropped her off my eyes filled with tears. I can't help but worry like crazy about her and oh my do i miss her. I miss her laying at my feet sometimes giving me a little lick on my toes. her getting all excited whenever i move my chair and jumping up and resting her head on my leg and i pet her.. And now i don't have a snuggle bug tonight and someone to keep me warm! Ahhhhh i miss her so much and i keep praying she is doing ok and not crying too much. bah.. i'm crying now!
:( I can't wait to pick her up tomorrow and smother her in kisses!

I can totally sympathasize I went thru the same thing not to long ago with Keegan.
She will be fine. But be aware she may have some potty accidents when she comes home. Keegan did, i think it is the upset of the schedule and surgery and weak muscles etc. I will keep you both in my thoughts!

Don't think of the bad things :D She'll be fine :] The vets have taken care of LOTS of dogs, and they'll keep her safe :] I know what it's like though, I was soo worried about Josie too. Let us know how things went when shes home ;]

She'll be great!

I know how hard it is to drop off a "baby" at the vet. Both of mine have been fixed. I was so scared that my poor Addie, who had a weakened immune system from a puppihood on the streets, would not make it. She had absolutely no problems, except one small throw up, that night. My other dog, Jake, was up and playing like nothing had ever happened.

Your vet loves your baby and has tons and tons of experience in this area. Presley will not run away or burst her bladder. It's so hard to wait and worry, but Presley will soon have her furry body, back in your arms. Remember, you are doing what is best for her, because you love her. I bet she is saving a ton of puppy kisses just for you :)

Let us know how things went as soon as you can. Give her lots of lovin' from me too!

Wow, Its just after 8:30am and this is the first time since i got Presley where i've been able to sleep in!!!
I know it's not much of a sleep in but i'm worried. She is having it done as we speak and they are going to call when it is done to tell me how she is.
I miss her so much :) Anyways i'm off to relax for a bit.
thank you all :)

I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm the same way whenever one of my babies gets fixed. I try to keep busy and think of the fun when they get home. You are lucky that you get Presley back so soon. Our vet has you bring them in on Monday evening, they do the surgery on Tuesday morning, but keep them until Wednesday afternoon. Please let us know how it went. Fingers, paw, and tails all crossed for you both.

Just think how happy she will be to see you! I remember Dixie getting so excited I had to settle her down so her stitches didn't tear.

When I first read this post I was going to say... Melissa's going through seperation anxiety. But then I remembered, so did I! And it was big time! I can give advice on helping dogs through seperation anxiety but when it comes to the humans, I'm lost! LOL

Give her a hug and a kiss for me when you do see her. That is if you can squeeze one in from someone other than yourself! ;)

Hi!!
I called the vets and they said Presley is doing wonderfully and she is able to go home in a hour and a half!!! I'm so excited and i really can't wait to see her!!!!

I have a question.
We normally let Presley sit in the back seat of the truck when we take her out. Should i maybe take a kennel and put her in that? I'm scared she wont be able to walk properly and i will hurt her trying to lift her in and out of the truck....
any ideas?

So glad your baby gets to come home soon. I would take the kennel and ask the vet about it. Probably, the less jaring and bumping around the better. Congrats. Give Presley a hug from me. :D

Wonderful News! I bet you feel sooooo much better!

As far as the crate, guess it wouldn't be a bad idea if noone is going with you to get her. When we brought Roxey home, she was still quite small & Mark held her all the way!

I know this really has nothing to do with this, but speaking of holding, here is a pic of Roxey after her spaying, and daddy holding her!

Please don't think I'm trying to take away from your post with this pic! Just reminded me of Roxey's spaying. I'm sure you'll be holding Presley the same way, she'll just be a little larger and harder to hold, but I'm SURE you'll manage just fine!
