Dear Diary,
Last week Blondie (formerly and probably again soon) fixed the most wonderful treat for me......fresh dried catnip!

Oh! It was so great!
But I am confused....every time I hear the whirl of the machine she used to make this special treat....I dash to the kitchen and jump up on the counter to receive my treat.
Reheated pizza????   Where is my catnip??

Eddie, I hate to dissapoint you but not everything that goes on in the kitchen is kitty related... It is the hoomans favorite place for their own treats too! Don't give up...... all is not lost..... it could happen again and you get more nip soon!

Sad News, Eddie ...
That "Whirlin Machine" has other kitchen duties besides KatNip prep ...
Maybe (formerly) Blondie could also *jingle* a lil Bell to signify it's KatNip Tyme?
Such a shame - you having to *waste* a <dash> to the kitchen
anna good <leap> to the counter ...
But then ole Boots wouldn't consider Rehaeted Pizza a false alarm ...
He'd be rasslin for a taste!

Yes...I learned how to do it here... Catnip (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=114476) LOL!
Last Autumn I picked a lot and dried it in the microwave. I pulled the leaves off the branches and stems, set them on a paper towel, put another paper towel on top, and put it in. It only takes about 1.5 minutes. I had a great crop last year, and I was drying for almost an hour. The house smelled wonderful! During the drying, first the cats all came to gather in the kitchen; then they started dashing about; then they all disappearred to sleep it off.
LOL about the house smelling wonderful! Sounds like everyone got stoned! :D

Poor Eddie! How dare mommy tease and tantalize you like that! Surely she knows how addictive catnip is, and how she needs to support your habit! ;)

Dear Eddie,
I'm so jealous. I just adore fresh catnip, but daddy made meowmy leave our catnip plant behind in Chicago, said there's no room in our new home for something as useless as a catnip plant. Useless, I asked. But daddy was relentless.....so no fresh catnip for me anymore. :(

Dear, sweet Eddie. How can soon-to-be-again Blondie treat you that way? It is outrageous! You must find the manual for the whirry machine, then you will never again be nipless!

Dear Eddie, isn't it confusing? All these sounds coming from the kitchen - you never know whether it's a really good treat or just a can of tomato. :( I must say, it didn't take you long to pick up on that whirl machine.
I know this will dissapoint you, but when that machine starts spinning, it doesn't always mean there'll be catnip you, it could be some treats for the humans - isn't that unfair!
Hopefully the catnip is still growing, and there'll plenty more in a few weeks. :D
Envious Fister.
I wouldn't lose heart if I were you, Eddie. Sometimes the whirring machine might contain other things that would interest you just as much.
And if you sit still and look as cute as you do in this picture - I betcha Blondie would share whatever it is.
Tell her you need "rights of refusal" - in other words - offer it to me, please,
and "I" will decide if I want it or not. :D
