My sweet baby girl has to have surgery on this Friday (oct 20th) . :(
She was just diagnosed with Bladder Stones. :( :(
I am so very upset about it that I just can cry....(and believe me I have done so many times already).
If you may remember , she had a UTI in june of this year, and since then I thought she was fine...till yesterday. I saw a large drop of urine with blood in it ,and suspected it may have come from her.
so this morning I got a sample from her, and took it to the vet. They wanted to see her in the office today, so off we went at 4pm.She got another sample taken then(her PH levels were high) followed by an x-ray.sure enough it was comfirmed.....bladder stones :( . I am so worried about my baby.
I know that no-one on here personally knows me, but everyone (in my real world) who does know me , knows how I feel about my Abby and how precious she is to me and my family. She is truley so very much loved.
So if anyone can ..prayers for my sweet Abby are needed, as she will be operated on this friday.
I dont want anything to happen to her...she is MY BABY!

The Pet Angels will have a delegation there with Abby, to make sure that she is comfortable, and bring her moral support.
We are adding Abby to Our Prayers, and we pray that the White Coats can make Abby well.

We don't have to know you personally to know how much you love your Abby girl. We can feel the love you have for her through your posts.
Prayers and positive thoughts on the way for Abby and ((((((HUGS)))))) for you, as I know how worried you are.
Just to let you know though, my brothers cat, Sheena, had this operation for bladder stones, years ago at the age of 7 years, and she pulled through it just fine and so will your precious Abby.

We know how much you love you Abby girl, we love ours the same way... that is what brings us all here and makes the bond we have so strong... so don't doubt that we understand what you are feeling and how upset you are. It was all I could do not to bust out crying when the vet found Giz's heart murmur and I did come home and cry over it.
We love our babies and they ARE our babies. A cherished member of our family and an important part of our life. She will have many prayers, you needn't worry about that. They have already started. We will be with you and your Abby Friday through this trying time.

You all are so wonderful!! as I sit here and read each post of concern for my Abby the LES is kicking in....again.
Where do all the tears come from???
I Thank You All ...It TRUELY does mean alot. :) and it is very comforting to know you guys feel the same way as I do about our babies.
I just get so very upset when I hear anyone say......its just a cat,you can always get another.Because those people(I use that term very loosley) obviously have never loved a pet before.  :(

Do not cry. Having the surgery means you FOUND the problem and it will be corrected! Many years ago I had a cat with bladder stone removal surgery. He did wonderfully! And last year, Rutherford had that surgery too (along with his PU surgery) and he too came out with flying colors (and he was 9 years old at the time).
So do not worry TOO much, things will go fine, and she will feel so much better.
The most important thing is to find out WHAT the stones ARE so that she can hopefully be fed a food that will prevent furhter production of them.
Best of luck Abby! Prayers are coming for you.

Laura said it really well. And everybody is right that this will make her feel better.
Just hang in there. Prayers for you and Abby.

We don't have to know anything more about you (personally) than that you love your kitties very much! THAT is what we all here on PT have as a common bond. THAT is why we love and care for one another! My prayers for your dear Abby! I'm sure everything will be just fine and she will be feeling much better after her surgery! Please keep us updated!
Hugs,
Kim

I'm so sorry to hear that Abby has bladder stones and needs surgery:( but I'm very glad to hear that you found out what was wrong with her so quickly. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way.
I know I was a mess when my Storm had to have PU surgery and Pet Talk really helped me through this difficult time. I hope that we'll be able to help comfort you and ease your mind during this difficult time. (((HUGS)))

It's NEVER "just a cat". Just like it's never "just a son" or "just a mother". These little furry lovies ARE our family. Of course you are upset and concerned; all of us would be, too. We know how you are feeling because we'd react the same way.
Don't worry, we are a very large group and carry a lot of influence as far as prayers and good thoughts go! We are here for you. And for Abby.
(((hugs))) Do keep us posted.

I am so sorry that Abby has to have surgery, but I am glad that you and your vet figured out the problem and it can be fixed. And all of us here are here because we love our babies... and we know that we have that in common. Knowing you personally makes no difference. You are alright in my book since you love your furbabies as much as I do mine! :D
Many prayers coming from me, Tabitha and Sasha in Indiana for a quick recovery by Abby. We will be looking for posts this Friday on the progress.

Where do all the tears come from???[QUOTE]
All our tears come from the love that we have for our beloved members of our families. The people who say it's only a cat.....don't know that kind of love and are truely missing that kind of love in their lives. We are truely blessed to experience this type of love.
Prayers and good thoughts will be coming your way....right away. I will certainly be thinking of you and Abby on Friday when it is time for her surgery.
