Some of you may know my lovely friend Katherine, a member here as 'midget gem'. She has not been around for a very long time due to her computer being plagued by the Trojan Horse Virus, and her visits to PT have been short 15 minute spells on library computers.
She told me this morning that her beautiful hamster, Bertie, has passed away. He seemed to be fine the day before, but last night was very sleepy and unlike himself, and by morning, he had made himself a comfortable little bed and gently passed away in his sleep. He was such a lovely little soul, and I am grateful that I had the pleasure of looking after him when Katherine and her family went on holidays. I know he had a truly great life with one of the friendliest, kindest and most pet-loving person I know.
This is the best pic I have of him, unfortunately it does not do him justice as it was taken on my old, crappy camera. Katherine is a brilliant photographer and has some far better pictures of him, and I'm sure once her computer is free of the virus she will post some for us to see.
RIP sweet little Bertie.:(
