Description: World's largest pet and pet product expo. Over 1,000 animals in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations - dogs, cats, birds, fish, llamas, reptiles, rats, alpacas, rabbits, miniature horses, goats. Thousands of pet products for sale at show prices. Animal experts, pet adoptions.

Admission: $10.00, Seniors: $8.00 (60+), Kids: $4.00 (6 - 12), 5 & under free

Andy's parents invited us to go to a friend's place for dinner on that Saturday, the 18th.

So Sunday the 19th works great for us if others can make it out. :D

Right now, it looks like I won't be able to make it. Ihave some major house cleaning to do before Thanksgiving. We'll see how this weekend goes, though and maybe if I get more done in a weekend then I think I can, I can be free by next Sunday!

Wow! That's so weird that this was bumped today. (Then that i remembered to come browse around the Pet Talk Forums tonight. )

I was doing research for a small business and accidently ran across the main expo site and while browsing around found the pet expo listing.

Sadly we don't have the money. Besides, i think i'd go insane around that many people. I can handle the small shows at the Birch Run Expo Center for a few hours and i can handle going to the adopt-a-thons at PetsMart, but crowds of that size give me panic attacks. (I hope to God that i never have to be a refugee from a natural disaster or War!)

Besides i'm going to wait until i know everyone a bit better again before i decide if i'm goign to any gatherings or not. I know before i sure wanted to! There are some awesome peopel on this board... and best of all... You're animal people!!! I actually have somethign in common that i can talk about for hours.

I've gone to a few gatherings of an online hobby site i go to, but it's not one i can talk about for even an hour. Luckily not everyone is as obsessed about it as others and we can talk about other things. A few of them have their own pets, but not all. At least S.O. now knows that online people are not all insane and that i'm not crazy for wanting to go to gatherings. The last one he had fun at; I think he'd be more open to going to a Pet Talk gathering anyhow. He at least likes animals, where as he could care less about my other hobby.

So no on the expo, but it's a possibility i'll go to a future one if it's in MI. Further in the future i may even go out of state.

I believe this is an annual event. Well, I know that Mom and I went last year, anyway.

I understand crow_noir. Like LilacDragon said, the Pet Expo is an annual thing so I expect it to be in Novi again next year. :)

Glad to hear you guys had fun!! Sorry I couldn't make it, trying to get ready for 2 Thanksgivings here this week, and we were also dogsitting Taggert and Dazzi. Maybe next year :)

Tami (from Stockbridge Michigan) used our ARC BSL BANNER about three weeks ago at a couple of shows to help spread the word about BSL and HOW IT CAN KILL OUR DOGS. SHE NOW NEEDS OUR HELP.

THEY ARE DEVASTATED. I just spoke with Paul and they are asking to get this out to as many people as we can.

Not a Rottie but we need to keep our eyes and ears open and spread the word. .

Please send this on to anyone who will listen, and all lists you can get this on to.

Let’s bring Saffie home to her owners.

HELP! – STOLEN DOG FROM PET EXPO NOVI

On November 18, 2006, our dog was stolen from her pen at the Pet Expo Novi at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan. Please help us get her back!

The dog is a female Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Saffie. She is 5 years old, red , and has been micro-chipped and spayed. She weighs approximately 26 pounds and stands 12 inches at the shoulder. She has a black mask and has natural ears and tail.

She was inside her pen and was taken approximately 2:30 p.m. She was left unattended for approximately 5 minutes when someone stole her along with her collar and leash. If you have any information regarding the theft of our dog, please contact the Novi, Michigan Police Department at (248) 348-7100. A reward is offered for her safe return and/or the prosecution and conviction of those responsible for the theft. She is very much loved by her family, and our little girls are devastated by this heartless act.
