I am absolutely infuriated!!! A co-worker of mine came into work today and showed me a picture of her beautiful kitty named Boy. He was the sweetest thing.

She told me yesterday, while she was at work (UGH!! ) her scumbag husband took her two cats (that she rescued) and threw them outside because they were scratching the furniture. I cussed that SOB out (I now feel bad that I did because it only made her feel bad). I told her that he should be reported to ACO for abuse and abandonment. She begged me not to. I didn't, although I did tell the ACO the truth, but didn't reveal their name or address.

She said she was able to get the 3 year old (Boy's father) inside but Boy is nowhere to be found. She is beside herself. So, I spent my half hour lunch calling all around for a Hav-A-Heart trap. I might possibly have one tomorrow.

I told her to go home and sit out on her doorstep with a treat can and scream her bloody head off calling Boy's name, shaking the treats. I'm HOPING this will bring him out of hiding. If he's hungry he will (I'm praying). If only I could get my hands around her husband's throat (or other body parts) and squeeze tight.

I told her to go to Petco and buy 2 packages of Soft Paws and I would personally put them on. I also told her to get a scratching post. She said she had one but they didn't use it. I suggested spraying it down with liquid catnip. I also told her to put her &^@!#$%* husband out.

I feel so bad for this girl. She and the cats really didn't deserve this.

I also told her to put her &^@!#$%* husband out. Or have him declawed (her husband, I mean, not the cat!)! I hope she gets Boy back.

I hope she gets Boy to come back. I hope you didn't inadvertantly make her feel worse, and that she can convince her husband never to do this again. Maybe he should sleep outside until Boy is back home and inside.

You really have to wonder why someone would do this (put the cats out) to someone else that he is supposed to love. I'd seriously think of getting rid of the husband. :(

I wish I could come back with some comedy relief, but in view of what her husband decided to do with her ( children, in my opinion) leads me to wonder if his toe nails might need trimming!!!!

I sure do hope and pray that her Boy comes back home!!!

I gave her my phone number and haven't heard from her. Not sure if it's good news or not.

As for her husband, he's feeling REALLY bad, according to Amy. (he damn well should).

I'll let you know what she says.

Oh, HE'S feeling bad? What a cryin' shame. Think about what those babies felt like, being thrown unceremoniously out of the house. Think about how scared they were in a strange place with lots of scary noises and smells. How they felt with no meowmie around to care for them.

That sorry piece of *#(@ would have his clothes out in the driveway. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

(there, I feel better)

I pray that Boy can be found.

Many cases of spousal abuse start with abuse to the spouse's pets.

That woman should this man out of her life now; things will escalate!

Wish there was a law for people who do these things.

I hope she finds Boy.

Amy went out in the yard with a bag of his favorite dry food, shook it and yelled his name. He started meowing, so she followed the meow and found he was stuck in a bush.

Boy is now safe in his home. I will be going over to their house tomorrow to put Soft Paws on both cats.

Its about time she threw that creep out.
Anyone who would do that to two Cats, is not to be trusted.
I hope she can get rid of this jerk.

I just hope and kittys AND her are ok.

Maybe it was a one-time thing, and he never loses his temper otherwise. I really hope so.

I think the Soft Claws will work great.

HUGS to all involved.

How great that both cats were found and are home again! I hope they weren't injured in any way and both are over their trauma. As for husband, what was he thinking? Opps, in reality he wasn't! This was out of line and totally uncalled for, talk about intentional abuse!!!
This guy obviously has some problems that need to be addressed, Perhaps a good anger management course for starters.

I'm going over there on Sunday after work to put the Soft Paws on both cats. God help hubby if he's there while I'm doing it.
