Ok, guys, go to www.petrefuge.com (yes again) and check out Shadow. It doesn't sound like she'll be at the shelter very long. They sure do get great looking dogs in there.

We have a Golden mix at my shelter that we are having a VERY hard time placing :( She has been adopted twice and returned twice. She doesn't show well in the kennel or visitation rooms. She was a 100% outdoor dog in her previous home and has some weird quirks such as pacing the perimeter of the yard constantly. The first girl who adopted her LOVED her and bawled when she returned her but she didn't get along with the cat so the girl had to. The second guy who adopted her said he couldn't handle her bolting doors or something.

Aaaaaanyway, just in case anyone is interested in a sweet 5 yr old Golden mix in Texas who is in desperate need of a home.

(BAD picture of her - she's much more precious in real life)

She is beautiful, Aly. I'll bet she will find just the right home, with someone who will take the time to work with her and "untrain" some of the habits she has gotten into.

Ingram is here, spending the night with me, and he has already let Lilly know that she will not get closer to me than he is!! I do hope this beautiful boy will find the perfect home soon too.

Shadow took my breath away! :D He is one very beautiful and from the sounds of it, typical Golden boy. I am sure he will have multiple applications and I pray he goes to the best home possible.

Aly, your Golden girl is precious too! I will say a pray that she finds the best forever home and that she is not returned again. A little extra training and love and she will be a great pet for some lucky person!

Logan, I have the same problem with Dusty! He has to be closer to me that Dixie is. He is actually stronger than her and just nudges his way in. He is the most affectionate boy I have ever owned. His nickname is Mr. Cuddles! :D

Yep, Shadow went home yesterday!!! Also, Angie...Ruby FINALLY went home (she is the 4 year old beagle with the beautiful eyes), but she was in foster care so she hadn't been stuck at the shelter. There are a few there that I would love to take home with me because they've been there forever!!

Aly That golden girl mix is gorgeous!
It says something that the first girl was crying so hard when she brought her back. Sometimes I believe our doggies just aren't cat friendly and we can't sacrifice one's life for the other. You know that all too well. :( Now the second guy sounded like a dork, and he didn't deserve her. I will keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers.
-K- I just checked out PetRefuge and Shadow is gorgeous. Hope he has lottza tennis balls to chase.
And I fell in love with Copper, Spice, Cocoa, and most of all Winchester!!

I can't express my uhs and ahs here enough. What a beautiful Golden! I'm so happy he has a loving home now.

But what about the others? Can you ship them to Germany??? My heart beats faster by looking at Ruffie and the Beagle with the housebreaking work.
