Ok, I've been MIA for awhile, due to moving and then some major back problems, so I haven't been able to sit at a computer at home for more than a minute or two.

Anyways, about a halr hour ago, Shadow suddenly turned VERY aggressive towards Stormy. I have no idea what is going on, Stormy didn't do anything, he was about 3 feet away when Shadow first did this. I immediately scooped Shadow and checked him to see if he was hurting anywhere, which I see no signs of injury, and separated him for a time. I brought him out again and he did the same thing. He has even hissed and swatted at me. Does ANYONE have ANY idea what could be going on??????? Shadow is the alpha male, but normally *never* does this. He hasn't gotten outside, nor has Stormy, so they don't smell any different. Shadow does not appear to be in any pain or sick, so I'm totally confused. Shortly before this, he had been curled up in my arms sleeping while I was watching a movie. There is *no* reason for this!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I'm SO worried about my baby!!

I have the same problem with my sons cat Sades and my Mooky.

They are both well, no health problems and generally just ignore each other and at times will even lay near each other.

Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, Sades will viciously attack Mooky. It sounds like 2 male cats fighting outside and it scares the "H" out of me.
It has happened 3 times. The first time was last year, then gosh about 6 months later and then just a couple of weeks ago.

Why this happens, I have no clue, but Sades gets put in a closed room for about 3-5 days when it does.

When they do get close to each other and I am in the room, I will just say to them, "Be a good boy," in my somewhat stern voice and then I will pet them both and tell them what a good boy they are being.

I know how scary this is for you and I pray for you and Stormy that this doesn't land up being an every day thing.

Keep us posted okay and welcome back.
Sorry to hear about your back problems and I hope you are doing much better.
