I have the lowest pain tolerance in the world, so I waited until now to get my ears pierced. xD;

But it didn't hurt very much at all! It just honestly felt like something was through my ear. haha. More like a dull pain than a stinging, and it was very brief.

....anyway, I like it, I'll be happy once I can start wearing different earrings :)

Congrats! I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 26. :o Then I found out after trying repeatedly, I couldn't wear earrings, not even clip ons, because my ears would start hurting and turn red. I'm sure you'll have no problems though, enjoy wearing them! :D

It really doesn't hurt that much, only a quick, dull pain. I got them done about 2 or 3 hours ago and I don't feel ANYTHING.. i think the worst part is being nervous :) Take it from someone who worries about going to the doctor in fear of getting a finger prick! ;)

Yes, the worse part is probaly being nervous.:o I'll get them done soon (maybe) :p Also the fact they can get infected(sp?)worries me, then it'll just hurt no turning bad.

Oh Lordy, Lordy, did you bring back a solid memory!!!!!!! :D

Yes, I do have pierced ears, thanks to an Avon Lady, who became a very close friend to me (more like an older sister!!!)

I must have been in my early thirties at the time, and the thought of having my ears pierced seemed like a horrible surgery!!! :D :D

I got mine done at 10 or 12. lol. I have HIGH tollerance for pain. I just got my nose done. I've had it done before, twice. The first time I did myself. 2nd time someone did it with a peircing gun. And I read few days ago that is a nono. Then this time I did it right at a place with a needle. It hurt. Nothing like childbirth tho ;)

I've had my eye brow, tongue, ears, nose, belly button.

Now the only thing open is my new nose and my ears. oH I also gave myself 2nd holes on my ears. The tongue didn't hurt at all. I was more scared. I did it 3 times. I kept taking it out because I couldn't get past the annoying swollen stage.

I am metal sensitive. So I have to wear the plastic kind. I think its either nylon or something. I can't remember. But so far so good.

I also have a tattoo, and wanting more.

Make sure you turn the studs so no crust forms around the post or they'll be hard to remove..gross, I know. I also put peroxide or alcohol on my lobes 2x a day (morn and night).
So wierd..even with all my surgeries, the pain of getting my ears pierced in a split second was a different type of pain for me and I screamed like a baby. My bottom holes are stretched due to the 60's HUGE, heavy earrings. My 2nd holes closed because the girl hit the cartilege and I kept getting infections.
Anyway..sorry to ramble....have fun buying lots of new funky earrings! I feel naked without earrings on.

Congratulations!! :D

I agree with Jenna, I am sooo nervous. At our mall they do it for free and my mom always offers to get them done for me but I always chicken out. I dread going to the mall sometimes because I see someone getting them done and I get all mad that I'm to chicken. My godfather got me really cool diamond earrings that would look nice on me but I don't think I'll be wearing them anytime soon. :o

That's awesome!

I got mine pierced as a little baby, so I wouldn't know what it feels like. I rarely wear earrings anymore because my ears always get red and infected :(

Congrats, Flamepony! It'll be fun to wear some cute earrings. The holidays are around the corner. You could ask Santa for some. :D

My older bully of a sister and I got ours pierced together when we were 10 and 12, or so.
She went first and reacted quite stressfully and and yelled, "oooowww". So when it was my turn, I didn't flinch.
I felt it all right, but I had a smile on my face and kept the same facial expression throughout the pierce. It was my way of showing that I'm tough in my own way, Iguess.

That's cool! It is fun to pick out different earrings. I got mine done when I was 11- my parents made me wait until then. I was so excited when I got them done but now I hardly ever wear jewelry. :p I really like earrings, I just hardly ever wear them.

I got my ears pierced when I was 5 years old, my cartalige pierced when I was 16, and my second hole done at 17. unfortunately my cartialige hole and my second hole closed up. :( I would probably get it done again. I don't think it hurts at all. the cartalige one did hurt a little, though.

Congrats! :D I got my ears pierced when I was a baby, and this year I finally got enough courage to get a second hole. I was expecting a big pain, but I agree, it hurt for just a second, and it was so fast that I almost didn't notice!

I want to get my cartilage pierced now, but I've heard that it hurts a lot and that it takes a lot of time to heal, so I'm not sure if I want to go through it...

That means you have a metal allergy - most earrings have nickle in thier posts which some people's bodies react to. You can wear earrings, but you need to either buy them with the gold-coated posts (Simply Whispers is one brand) or coat the posts of the earring you do have in clear nail polish.

(I used to work at an Earring Tree, which is how I know all this.)

haha yeah, I've been turning them and using alcohol wipe things to clean them twice a day. (: I don't feel them at all otherwise.. 6 weeks until I can change the earrings though ;)

Congrats Flamepony! I don't have a high pain tollerance either. Bleh, I hate all needles and stuff.

I got my ears pierced when I was a wee little baby, so I don't remember if it hurt or not. I never wear earings though and my holes have probably closed up. I haven't worn earings in like 10 years.

Congratulations!

I got my ears pierced when I was 5 months old. I got a second set of holes pierced when I was 11, they closed up and I had them re-pierced when I was 13. I don't remember when I got the rest but by the time I was 17 I had 5 holes in each ear. I've let most of my holes close up. I don't wear earrings too often, but when I do it's just in my first holes.

yay, fun isn't it??

goodness .. don't remember when or how I got my earholes. :o don't even remember if got two holes on each earlobes at same time either. must be under age ten or so then. I have two holes on each side. bottom ones are usually for little hoops or longer ones and tops for smaller ones.

curious - what are your earring style? have fun earring hunting! :)
