Anyone elses dog do this?

Runner will wait by the front door till I get back. Even if I'm gone for hours. I thought she did this. It was confirmed when my husband told me she waited by the door the whole time I was gone, he was home.

I really am loved lol

:D

According to our roommate, our cat Double-Oh does that. But not only will he wait by the front door, he will meow LOUDLY until we return

I have had several dogs while living here, now, I have "grand-dogs",
same thing happens when I am gone!!!! It doesn't matter which dog is here. when I leave, they retreat to a bedroom, and they don't show themselves until I come home!!!

by the way, I am the person who feeds the dog!!!!!

Mocha will drops everything he may be doing at the time, and go lay down right in front of the bathroom door whenever I am in there :) Missy doesn't do this, and Mocha doesn't do it when my husband is in there :)

If I happen to stay in there longer than I should (according to Mocha), he'd scratch on the door, or sniffin alongside the opening where the door meets the floor. It's embarassingly funny when he does that! :D

Are you kidding???
After panicking for 1 week, when I adopted Mz Logan, and then realizing I was coming home, she can't WAIT for me to walk out the door so she can sleep on the big bed!!!! She's now even brazen enough to stand on the landing, head crouched down, watching me, and runs off,. ...and that's before I even open the front door!!!!
But if I'm home, she's velcro. Basement, family room, bathroom, kitchen. Isn't it great? I love being so adored! But then again, the feeling's mutual. If she didn't follow me, I think I'd be hurt.

That really is sweet.

Fenway will look out the window when I leave. He looks so sad...like he's saying "hey, you forgot me." Then when I get home, he's usually looking out the same window. Poor thing.

Lou Lou is a velco dog to me. When I leave, she lays by the last door she saw me at and waits for me even when the rest of the family is home. She waits outside the bathroom door for me. She can be sound asleep and if I get up and go to another room, she has to get up to. She hates it when I have alot to do and don't stay in the same room. Everytime she lays down she does a big "hoof". We always joke that Lou Lou will will never learn to just relax but it's probally true! :D

Bitsy does that. She hates when we leave and she waits by the door. If we're outside she'll sit in the window and watch us and run to the door when she sees us coming to the house.

Jake does that too, kind of. He doesn't wait for us though, he waits for his food. When Justin gets home from work he greets all the dogs and then goes to the bedroom to change his clothes. As soon as Justin starts to head to the bedroom Jake runs and sits in front of his crate. It's funny because I don't feed them right when Justin gets home, I feed them when we eat which is sometimes a good hour after he gets home.

Daisy and I are almost always together, but I left her here at home the other morning while, I went to the doctor. Then came home to get her and go to work.
she stayed by my side the whole day, and didn't even want to be outside, a few yards away, while I was in my office. She's a real mamma's girl! :p
