Weird Sleeping Positions

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share some of the weird sleeping positions that my goofball Otis has come up with over the last year... Most of these pictures are from when he was a puppy but he still comes up with some surprises (i.e. the ones of him in the Jeep - the entire backseat was available, by the way)...it's hard to believe he is actually sleeping in all of these but it's true. His favorite place in the entire house to sleep isn't a chair, blanket or pillow - nope, nothing like that for Otis - he prefers to cram all 85 pounds of himself inbetween the toilet and the tub (about a 16 inch gap) usually with all 4 legs in the air - very graceful (not to mention hygenic) and an interesting topic of conversation for guests. Oh well, I love him anyway! he's so cute!! my dog sleeps with her eyes open.. i'll post some pictuers.. she also sleeps with her legs straight in the air.. she's a riot

Hehehe! He is so cute! One time when I was babysitting a puppy she would not really sleep in weird positions but do weird things in her sleep like twitch a lot and prededing to run! lol! :)

Dixie and Dusty are gorgeous!! Dusty looks pretty close to Otis' coloring...I especially like the one with the flipped back ear - too cute!

I love that picture of Louie! Bella sleeps like that all the time! I have tried and tried to get a picture of her like that and she always hears me getting the camera ready and the shot is gone. Louie is just the picture of total relaxation. Nice to see he has lots of room to spread out in the Big Bed! :)

Yep! It's amazaing how one so small (Well, he's smaller than if he were a Lab.) Can take up SOOO much space on the bed. When Louie's head "Hits the Pillow" that it he IS out! Takes two of us to move him!!!!:o :rolleyes:

I'll have to take pictures of ours sleeping too. The favorite is on their backs with their feet in the air...imagine now a Dane that does that! lol

Max fell asleep with is front feet up on the bed and his back feet still on the floor....what a riot!!

i love it when Pork Chop starts to fall asleep while he's sitting up... it's so funny looking.
and then when he nods off, he'll catch himself and put his paw on you or something and be like, "Huh? What? I'm awake." For about 5 seconds til he starts nodding off again.
ha ha.

Louie you are too funny!!! :D My parent's dog loves the bed but he likes to burrow down under the covers - I don't know how she can even breath in there but somehow she survives!

My golden, Jake, loves to sleep on his back with his legs straight up in the air (proped up on the wall), his head all the way back, mouth agape, and his tongue draping out of the side of his mouth. He is enormous, and a huge ball of blond fur. It is quite a sight to see. If I figure out how to post a picture, I'll have to show you all.:D

Do you have a scanner or dig. camara? If not you could snail-mail some pics to me and I could scan them for you. From there it's pretty easy if you have the pics stored on your computer somewhere.

Sammy is too cute...what a beauty he's going to be. There's nothing sweeter than a sleeping puppy... My friends have a similar picture of their pug Nate - here he is... (sorry the pic is SO big - I was too lazy to shrink it).

I'm still trying to get a pic of Jake's up side down snoozing. I have to sneak up on him. He only seems to do it, when he thinks no one is watching.

The other day, I was working out in the back yard when Teddy came to join me on the back steps. He dozed off after a few minutes and his head fell off the step. He was just crashed out with his body on the step and his head hanging. I couldn't take it -- woke him up laughing. What a goof! All of your pictures are priceless. (I wish I'd been able to get one of Teddy.)

These pictures are all so precious! I just about died when I saw Nate though!! What a cutie pie!!! I am a devoted pug admirer from afar!! This is a great topic. I wish I could contribute a funny one too but Bella usually hears me moving around getting the camera and the moment is gone!

That is funny, my baby Chika does the same too, she sometimes sleeps with her legs in the air too. I have always believed that she is trying to immitate the way her Papa sleeps, because when we first adopted her she didn't sleep like that until she met us.

Here is a picture I would like to share with you, this is Chika, she is a Lhaza Poodle mix, this was taken when she was about 6 months old. See isn't she adorable?!!!:D

My dog gets some weird positions too.most of the time it is with his legs straight up in the air.its funny looking.But my dog loves pillows and blankets.

My dogs don't sleep in strange places but in strange positions sometimes!;)
They usually sleep in their basket or on the floor upstairs where the hot water pipes are underneath!
One of the dogs likes to go upstairs and sleep on the landing!
The youngest sometimes sleeps on her back and has one crazy white eye staring at you!:rolleyes: Then she kicks her nines in her dreams!
The other of the two sleeps in a ball and breaths hevilly when she's dreamimng!:)

Ricky and Lucy Tu tend to sleep in funny positions at times also. Lucy Tu has even been known to say her prayers before she goes off to sleep. :)

Ricky is used to going on trips in our motorhome (Lucy Tu just went on her first big trip) and he pretty much can sleep anywhere, even my lap.

My dogs sleep in weird positions too. And places. When we were on vacation Nebo insisted in either sleeping behind me on my neck, half on me and half on the window, or squeezed between the seat and the door of the truck. When we go camping Reggie has his own little cubby hole to sleep in. The storage area under the couch! It's really funny to see, I'll have to see if I can find a pic of that. Lol, all of these pics are adorable! I think I like the ones of Lou and Ricky the best, too cute! I have some great ones for this catagory! I'm on my parents computer so I don't have any pics...but I'm going to see what i can find that I already have at image station.

Wow, Anna, I didn't realize how much Roxey and Nebo look alike with their markings! I want to see some more pics of her as a puppy! I can see a bit of her eye, lol, Nebo does that quite a bit when he's sleeping.

Hmmmm...I have 2 pups asleep on either side of me right now...the gray one and the red one....the black one is a few feet away in the sun. Sleepy boys. :rolleyes:
