why does cainan walk while he pee's?

Cainan ever since we got him, walks when he pee's and poops and i dont think he realizes that he does it cause he still wags his tales and goes about him business, but just alot slower so he can pee, of course! is there any reason why he does this? it's not really a big deal but he always walks up the back steps to get in the house while he's still pee'ing and just now, he walked over coco while still pee'ing, so i was just curious if there was anything i could do to make him stop?

Probably just trying to spread his scent around as long a distance as possible.

OR he does have underlying health issues preventing him from acknowleding he is peeing.

I've seen female dogs do this a LOT. I always assumed male dogs didn't do it because they had to lift a leg, but apparently some of you have dogs that have figured out a way to do it! I agree that they're probably just trying to spread their scent around.

Charlie has ALWAYS done this from day one. If we come home and there is an accident on the floor we can tell who did it by whether it is in a pile (Jamie) or spread out (Charlie). Charlie stands still to pee only when he VERY BADLY has to go and he is on a leash and I don't move. But otherwise he will walk in circles haha
