TomKat may not let you see their baby, but they were happy to have an artist create a bronzed sculpture of her doodoo — or so he says.
Daniel Edwards, the off-kilter artist who shocked many a museum-goer with his extremely detailed Britney Spears birthing sculpture just months ago, says he's created a bronze cast depicting Suri Cruise's first solid stool — and he plans to sell it on eBay for charity, the AFP reports.
The shrouded infant's prized poopy, which sits proudly on a wooden mounting, will be displayed at the Capla Kesting gallery in Brooklyn, N.Y., before it is auctioned off to benefit the March Of Dimes next month.
"A bronzed cast of baby's first poop can be a meaningful memento for the family," gallery director David Kesting said.
Kesting said he hopes the work will attract bids of up to $30,000.
So far, the biggest scatological spender has offered $41 for the … um … art.
Suri, the 19-week-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has already been the focus of many a tabloid story questioning everything from her health to her very existence. If the sculpture is the real deal, at least we now know she has a well-functioning colon.

I admit, I don't have children, so correct me if I am wrong. I was under the impression that baby's first poop was not at all solid. Maybe it is all that special treatment, hiding the baby and not talking to it, that make it's poop different?

I questioned that too although didn't want to stare at it too long as I see plenty of that in my back yard. Actually looks like something my 45 lb. Bella might have done.

That is seriously not baby poop. She is way to young to even be having solid poops. Seriously I have three children so I know a thing or two about baby poop. :p

Oh my.... words fail me.
First of all, I was calculating the age in ym head. Cam's 10 weeks, and his poop still looks like pudding. I can't see him making something like that any time soon. and in order to get it, they'd have had to hold her bare-bottomed until she did poop - otherwise it'd be all smooshed by the diaper. I guess they aren't letting her wear diapers because it would ruin her poopy karma?
Outiside from the whole concept being cheesy, the base for this work of art is cheap looking. If they are expecting $30,000 for this, they could have at least sprung for a nice pioece of marble! :D

I am hardly an expert, but, Jonah didn't have that sort of poop for a LONG time. Now, he was BF, so, that might make a difference, but, even today, at 2 ( :( ), he still doesn't quite make the sculptur test. :D
Oh, this just gets me giddy with excitement.
Do you know that somewhere right here in the very same city that I live - is Suri Cruise - wondering why they are snatching up her poop so quickly.
It gives me goose bumps to think she is so close - but yet so far. :D
If that is what she is putting out - she sure isn't being breast fed!

IF that is really her poop, (and I really hope not!) that little girl has some serious health issues!
It truly amazes me what people call "art"

OMG! I am SO jealous! To be so close, but so far must be mind-numbing. Perhaps we should send out the poop patrol to locate this little turd, I mean Suri :p
*snicker*
That is not baby poo...it's just a fake. I've had three kids, and that's not what comes out of a baby and my first two were bottle fed, and the third not, and it really all comes out the same. That thing looks like it coud be almost as big as Suri Cruise, much less come from her..
