Yes, transports are acceptable here. After all, it's dog rescue, and sometimes a pup needs to go further than he or she can hitchhike to get to their furrever home.

Central Florida here and I miss transporting! I loved it. Taking the dogs out of the killer and giving them homes. Was a wonderful feeling.
