Depends on your vet, how much the dog weighs, etc. I'd call and ask if I were you :).

When I got Tango spayed (she was only 30lbs) it cost me $110.

It really does vary from place to place even within cities.

One place here in town wanted to charge me $400+ for a neuter! Our current vet only charged something like sixty counting anaesthetic and an overnight stay (as they close at the same time my husband gets off work). And I know that she only charges $25 for a regular check up.

Maybe you could do a search for vets in your area and see if they have any web sites that give info?

If you call your vet and the price is too high, there should be a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area.

Here it depends on the weight of the dog --- Tikeyas_mom's Baby cost $260.

Wow, all these prices quoted sound real high to me. Around here
it's more like $35.00 to $50.00 for a female & even less for a neuter.Free
and low cost operations are available too.

I got to quotes, one was $187 and one was $140. We are going with the $140 vet because they will keep her overnight and monitor her. Both prices include pain meds but nothing extra, like the monitoring, blood panel and whatever else the options are! Maybe I need to go to Lizbuds vet. I don't think I have ever gone to the vet for less that $50 for a regular visit! In Michigan we have C-Snip for low income families, Call your Humane Society to see if you have a similar program! :)

Technically an animal only needs to be 2 pounds to have the spay operation. The sooner the better for most dogs. $110 is a good estimate.

Yes, but there are many more dog and cat vets than bunny vets, so that's why we pay more for the specialists!

You also need to keep in mind that before a vet will spay or neuter an animal they need to be up-to-date on all of their shots first. So you need to calculate that into the final cost, too :)

For Taffy to be spayed I think it was about 50 dollars, she was about 30 lbs at the time (she was just old enough to be fixed and now she's 3.5 years old and about 55lbs.) Though I don't remamber exactly how much it cost, and it definatly verys according to each vet.

A little off topic: My mom told me that when she got Cupcake (who we only had until I was 3) fixed, the vet asked them if they should trim Cupcakes claws. They said it would be $20 for trimming them while he was under anaesthesia! So, my mom declined the offer. =)
