My Lil' Sunshine...

Despite all of our efforts to save this seven week old baby...today she passed on. I just don't understand. She was gaining weight, eating well, drinking well, playing....and this morning we found her laying over her water bowl with her face against the bars of the cage, dead. I tried so hard. I really did. I feel so horrible. My poor Lil' Sunshine. At least now she is with her siblings at the Rainbow Bridge. We will miss you sweet Sunshine.

Awww....Tracy....I posted in Cat General...

I remember when Gina lost a few of her cats...two littermates died for no apparent reason, just a few weeks apart (if that).

Because the mom was in such bad shape when Gina took her in, the vet thought that the kittens might have had some deformity that was invisible...because they didn't get nourishment in the womb.

You DID do everything you could, and this is not your fault.

Poor little Sunshine - I do hope there is a Rainbow Bridge, and she and her little sibs are playing away!

They were all loved and cared for - and that is HUGE compared to what they would have had.

Lord knows, you tried your best. She just wasn't strong enough to overcome what ever illness she had. I'm so, so sorry. :(

It is so sad to lose a little one. 3yrs ago, after only having Sylvia 2 days, she died of distemper. She was only 6 weeks old. Your precious Sunshine is in a wonderful place. She will always be healthy, no more pain and suffering. Sunshine knows that you tried so hard to help her and her littermates. Sleep softly sweet little ones...

Ive been posting in this section for a few minutes, it's too sad to read and post any more, but I am so sorry for the loss of your dear sweet kitten. I have to say I think it may be because she was a female orange tabby. ask your vet about that. I had one and I was told orange tabbies are usually male, and my kitty had a degenerative brain disorder, and at 13 months old had to be put to sleep. I was also told that they usually only live up to maybe 3 months.


may the memories of all the kitties that have passed, comfort their humans.

Poor Sunshine.This is sad for this Tiny Baby.It's always so sad when a baby dies and they haven't had a chance to live for a while.I am so sorry.We know you did everything you could.She knew you loved her too.
