We got a new camera - Canon S3. Isn't that amazing? We were maybe 7 feet away, and that's the picture Paul was able to take!
That's a painted turtle, by the way.

Is this what happens to you when you spend too much time in one spot? Green stuff grows all over you?
Just kidding.
What a wonderful photo. I went directly to the net to look in to buying a Canon camera like yours. There is such a variation in prices. All a little too high for my pocketbook right now.
Great, great photo!
Thanks for sharing.
Maybe a new photo of Ms. Hoppy would be fun for all of us! ;)

Hee hee - that is the only turtle of the eight I saw that had the green stuff all over his shell. It covers parts of the marsh they were in, but any other turtle would probably have cleared a spot, or come up therough the green stuff vertically so a minimum of gunk got on his/her shell, but not this one. This was the "special" turtle! (The Karen turtle - I am well known for getting marker, pen, whatever - all over me and not noticing.)

Hello, Miss Hoppy, how nice to see you! Wow, I can almost see my own reflection in her eye! Hey Mom, how about a little more of her pretty face showing in the next post? It's awfully hard to see her well in your avatar!

Not right now. Miss Hoppy is an only bunny.
KAREN & PAUL!!!!!!!!! I can change all that, and Miss Hoppy wouldn't even notice! Want two in love Red-earred sliders? Both rescues, and need a much bigger tank. Don't tell me you are allergic to turtles..it won't work lol! :p P.S. Remember..I'm a local, and delivery could be done in person. Get your tank setup, and make it huge....50 gallons would do for now! :D Great picture by the way! I'm amazed Paul got the shot at all as turtles are so fast to move at any hint of danger.

We were not close at all, that's what is so great about the camera! We were maybe 7 feet away, and on a boardwalk a couple feet above water level, but the camera has an amazing zoom lens.
