I had to psot this. It came in my emails. Becuase of the other kittens Beans and Bethel I almost just deleted it but I couldn't after I saw his face. Do you think that shelter you got the other FIV+ cats would be able to help? If so please pass this info onto them.

Cat: Domestic Short Hair Gray and White Tabby
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Special Needs: FIV+

Hi! My name is Thomas. I am a super-affectionate, gentle cat who was abandoned by my owner.

I am a bit tattered from trying to make it on my own through the tough New England weather !

I have FIV, but am asymptomatic. I would do best in a one cat only household with no dogs or young children.

I know that I would make someone a GREAT COMPANION !
PLEASE open up your heart and give me my forever home ...!!!

Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at http://www.billericacatcarecoalition.org. Thank you.

Please help if you can, and crosspost if you know of anyone that may be able to foster this loverboy.

This little Kitty-Pie loves to romp and play, and has armfuls of warm purrs waiting just for YOU!

Thomas has the prayers of the Found Cats, that he can find just the right Furr Ever Home.

Melissa - I can try, but you have to know that he would be in a large room with about 15 other FIV+ cats, and that's not a good place for a cat that doesn't appreciate the company of other cats. Their waiting list is usually at least a month, more often two months.

If he's been a stray for a while, I'm surprised that he wants to be alone because I thought cats tended to move into colonies to survive - but perhaps he wasn't a stray long enough for him to change his mind.

I contacted the shelter from which I adopted my six FIV+ cats and they took down the details. However, they are very full right now and don't know when they could take him. They have managed to place 25 FIV+ cats so far this year, and have been so successful that other organizations want them to take their cats. Please prompt me in a few weeks in case I forget to check up on the status of his transfer.
