Anybody ever use a holistic vet?

My sister suggested I bring Cosmo to a holistic vet to see what kind of alternative treatments were out there for kidney disease.

Has anybody ever used a holistic vet?

What was your experience?

I went to one when I was desperate to help my Seshat who was born with feline leukemia. He was quite a popular holistic vet, but I wasn't impressed and I'm not quite sure why, but perhaps it's because I don't have a lot of faith in vitamins and supplements. I'm more of "an eat wholesome and nutritious food, don't get stressed, enjoy your life" kind of person so I decided not to follow the highly complicated feed regime he gave me. I truly believe that the reason Seshat lived for 7 healthy and wonderful years was because she was always with both her brother and me, in a quiet and stable home, given lots and lots of love, and good food.
