Whenever a dog is acting strange and not like himself you should always take him to a vet! What kind of candy was it? The candy could have an ingrediant that he's allergic to. You should also try to get the candy out of his system so try to get him to poop often by taking him outside alot. When dogs eat candy it's rarely fatal, but you should still at least contact a vet.

It really depends on what kind of candy it is.
Chocolate is harmful to dogs, and can, on occasion, be fatal.

If it was chocolate or he looks sick and really not acting himself.. take him to the vet. If he is just lazy.. he could just be having "one of those days". Did ya give him a lot of exercise or something?
Dogs and puppies eat the strangest things that you would think would make them get sick... licking the floor and things outside? you know all those germs and disgusting things? If you are very unsettled... take the dog to the vet.. no harm can come just by going, eh?
but curious.. what kind of candy was it?

If it was small enough for him to swallow, and was just a normal mint (not a chcolate mint) it's fine, no big deal. Make sure he drinks plenty of water, it'll dissolve and cause no problems.
How old is he? If he's eating and pooping normally, there's nothing to worry about.

Call and take him to the vet now. Right away. Both the chocolate and the raisins are bad for him.

My dad's dog once had an entire snickers bar after jumping up the table. (this was like 7 years ago) he was completely fine. it sure wasn't good for him but it didn't killl him (even tho this dog pooped regularly and everything still)
Try not to worry and take the dog to the vet and get him checked or get meds from them or something. i'm sure he'll be fine.

A Snickers bar actually has very little chocolate in it. And it has peanuts, which are not harmful to dogs. Raisins are.
I am glad the sister is taking him to the vet. We HOPE he will be fine, but will not know until he is checked by the vet.

That doesn't sound right at all. What did he say, did it cause some damage - liver, digestive or whatever? Where is Muffin now? How is she? Is she being treated?
