Got back from lunch to find some idiot has left their dog in a car in our car park!!! The temperature is starting to rise and the poor thing shouldn't be in there.

I went into one of the offices and found out who the car belongs to - the lady I spoke to is going to ring the stupid idiot straight away and tell her to get back here sharpish before I:

a) smash her car window to get her dog out and
b) report her

Oh how I hate when people do that! Did they at least leave a window down or anything? Poor doggy :(

Stupid woman came back and moved car into shade! I went down to see if the dog was still in it (yes) but was either spotted or one of her colleagues had spoken to her because when I came upstairs to call the dog warden she went out to her car and brought her dog indoors!

Oh what a shame, I was hoping she'd get what's coming to her! Ugh, I hate it so much when people do that, poor little dog. :(

Don't worry - she will. I told her colleagues that I will report her straight away next time she does it. What's really stupid is that they are happy for her to have the dog (a gorgeous border collie) in the office

The dog is fine and spent the afternoon in the office. The irony is that the stupid woman got the dog from a rescue centre

Glad that the dog is happy and safe in the office. I just don't understand people. If she's allowed to have her dog at work, why not take advantage of that instead of leaving the poor thing in the hot car? Some people!

I don't understand either. If her dog is allowed in the building, why didn't
she take it inside to begin with? Did she not plan to stay? I'm very glad
you did something about it. A lot of people wouldn't just because they are
loath to get "involved" in any controversy.

Brody's Mum,

Call the cops. PERIOD. If it happened once, it'll happen again. Stupid people hardly EVER recover.

I can not believe with all the press on TV they give on this, that people STILL leave their kids/pet in those cars! Someone needs to shut THEM in a hot car when it is 95* outside in the hot sun...
