I usually only post on cat generel but these kttens need help now. can someone from Illnois pull them today or fisrt thing in am or they will be killed. Lizzie on cat general wants to adopt them but they have to have someone pull them in person.

I just received this message from Lizzie, Please Please someone go pull these babies out. this is what happened to Caspurr and Purrl sister, she was killed before i could save her.

Situation dire in white kitten shelter

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just got off the phone with the shelter in Illinois which has the white kitten. She has been to the vet and received worming and flea treatment. The vet said she didn't need antibiotics.

She will be euthanized if the shelter has to take in any more cats, and that is going to happen by sometime tomorrow. The fabulous grey kittens, who have been there the longest apparently, will be euthanized tomorrow also.

In order to rescue these kittens, someone has to physically collect them tomorrow. The shelter has no foster resources and no other place to put them. They are open 8am-3pm, Tuesday-Friday, and there is only one full-time person working there.

Tracy - can you do it? I know it's asking an awful lot of you, but it is their very last chance at life. We'll post a virtual collection can on PetTalk, I can send something. I'll pay the adoption fees for the white kitten and the two grey ones.

Hoping for the best. Thank you for any help.

Unfortuantely no, they have to be picked up in person and taken immediately. the conditons there sound horrible with only one person doing everything. Reminds me of the place i saved caspourr and Purrl from. i don't know anyone else in Illnois to call that could get them or i would call. Lizzie talked to the shelter lady and told her she would take them but she can't hold them or foster.
so sad
if you have any other ideas please let us know.

Doolittleky, Tracy and I have just been on a PM binge.

D found a whole list of shelters in Illinois.

I did up 31 email addys and composed an email to them. It's sent.

Tracy phoned the few that had no email.

And she is faxing the ones that were emailed and then some! I turned the email text into a faxable letter, and there goes TRACY!

Please pray that ONE PERSON can foster these kittens for ONE NIGHT!

Gosh, I wish it was closer to Chicago, I'd go in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, an almost 5 hour drive one way isn't in the cards. :(

It is four and a half hours from me...the shelter that is. I am going. Our rescue drives distances all the time. We just need people to donate so we have the funds to save these babies. The lady agreed to hold them till tomorrow! Thank you God!! So, please spread the word. We need to come up with some money to do this. Visit our website and help out...please!! Link is in my siggie!!

Thank you all so much.
