I am kinda bored, but I wanted to figure out if a lot of people have/had braces. I have them, they are coming off in 2 weeks! Yah! I have had them on for six years.

Six years? Wow, that sucks.
I had them for 1.5 years. I had the crookedest teeth you ever did see. They got straight very fast though, and I had them off pretty quick. My brother had them on for a few years, so I was pretty lucky. I got them off a couple weeks before high school started (2003 I think?) which was cool, because I didn't want them in high school.

I used to have them... they've been off for... quite a while. :D I only had to have them for around a year, though... while my sister had to have them for atleast 3 years.

I had them for two year, two months and 13 days! My orthodontist was Dr. Morin, so whenever people tell me I have a lovely smile, I say "Thanks, my parents paid a lot for this smile!" Or "Thanks, all credit goes to Dr. Morin!"

I've never had them...and while my teeth aren't anywhere NEAR perfect I have had dentists ask me if I've ever had them.
My brother just got his off yesterday! He only had them on for a little over a year though. My sister just had some put on a couple months ago.

I had mine taken off about a month ago, after 1 and a half years with them on. I have the retainers now, but they aren't so bad, and I only have them for 6 months. It's too bad that I got my dad's teeth gene instead of my mum's, because then I would have had perfect teeth :p

I am wearing them now. I get them off in a couple months. My teeth were horrible before, now they look really good. I can't wait until they are off.

Oh, and all of those who have them now, or just got them off?
Wear Your Retainers
I know two girls who had them around when I did that weren't great about wearing their retainers, and had to redo the whole braces experience as adults. You think it's embarassing now, try giving a business presenation when your mouth is sore from getting a wire tightened and you have a mouthful of braces!

I never had braces on my teeth, my teeth are perfectly straight. I've never even needed my wisdom teeth pulled. I've never had a cavity either.
My back more than made up for my teeth though. I've had back problems since 4th grade and even had to wear a back brace for 31/2 years during middle school and high school.

I had them! Had to wear them for about two years or so. I don't miss them a bit, but I sure am glad that I had them when I did, my teeth were horrible!

I got them off freshmen year of highschool in the fall, so almost 2 years ago. I had them for about 2.5 years. I'm supposed to be wearing my retainer, I had to pay for a new one because the old one didn't fit because I never wore it. I wear my retainer at night only because I know If if did days I'd loose it.

I had them but got them taken off about 4 years ago now, I think. Lol...I'm paranoid about my teeth not staying straight, so I still always wear my retainers at night....not sure whether I'm supposed to, or whether I still have to or not but my orthodontist never told me when I don't have to wear them anymore.

My top teeth are perfectly straight, but I have not enough room for all of my teeth on the bottom, so I need them for the bottom teeth. Never got them, but am planning on it in the near future. I'll be one of those mom's with braces :p

I wore braces when I was in my 20's. I had them on about 3 years. My teeth weren't that bad when I was a teenager but got worse later, so I got them straightened up some. :D

My teacher last year said her daughter was suppouse to get them off and eveytime they went to get them off the dentist would say you need them on for a few more months everytime. Then finally he said do you wear your rubberbands all the time and she said pretty much. She'd take them off on weekends and though it'd be ok. Well think again... no, her teeth just went back to how they were. Then she had to go through the whole process again.
