Just curious...do you vaccinate against Leptospirosis?

Yes, I do. According to my vet it is something that comes up often enough to worry about in my area. Plus, it can be contagious to people.

IMO, the protection provided my vaccinations against viral infections is enough that annual vaccinations may be too much, but I don't believe that is the case with vaccinations against bacterial infections. My vet said that in her experience vaccinations against bacterial infections generally aren't even good for 12 months.

Since Micki was diagnosed with Leptospirosis we're going to vaccinate the rest against it. It hasn't been to common in this area up until about a month ago when one other dog was diagnosed with it. I've just heard so many horror stories about this vaccine lately and it makes me especially nervous.

I've heard a few horror stories myself, but I do think that such things get over-publicised. Yes, it can happen, but they could also concievably go blind from the ivermectin in heartworm preventative.

No. Autumn only gets a few vaccinations every 3 years, mainly distemper and rabies.

I do as it is included in with the other vaccines (DHLPP). I do give limited vaccines once they are older, limioted as in not that often, they still get the same shots.
Once my dogs go through their puppy series (or 1-2 sets if they are older when I rescued them) they get the next one one year later when they are due. After that they only get vaccinated once every 2-4 years depending.

Nope. My boys may have gotten it before in their annual vaccinations, but I won't be vaccinating Kaedyn anymore, and Kai will be getting titres or another vaccination in three years. My puppy will only recieve the distemper and parvo puppy shots (seperately), then either titres or vaccinations every 3 years.
