Little Budha, whom I found a few days ago has his nights and day mixed up. He is more comfortable in the house now but he is quite mischievious and his cute little "mew" was almost driving me nuts. Any suggestions???

Cats are nocturnal, so this is normal. You can work with them to get them closer to your schedule, by wearing them out with toys before bedtime.

Could you try giving Buddha a little something to eat before bedtime? Maybe a full stomach will help him to sleep.

Cats ARE nocturnal and especially if they lived outside for any length of time. They NEEDED to learn to do their "business" under the cover of darkness. They will adjust more to an "indoor" schedule over time. But in the meantime it might be best to go with the suggestions above.
And don't get up in the middle of the night to give him attention as this only cements the idea of "PLAY IS OK at night."

Thanks for all the help. Budha has gotten better. He was good last night until about 4:30. He is going in today to get neutered :( ..

We are so lucky that when we go to bed, so do our 8 cats!!! We play with the younger ones so they are tired out. They are up around 5 am, on the days my husband go to work. Tomorrow and Thursday, they(though not all of them) will be up with me at 4am, when I am getting ready to go to work!! They even know when it is Saturday, and let us sleep in to about 7 am!! Sunday, we are up early for Mass and they eat before we leave.
