I just had to share this story with my PT friends, my friend Jane who lives down the road from me often dogsits her daughters young pup Taz, he is the most sweet four month old boy,he is a cross between a staffy and a lab, so you can imagine his cuteness.
We went to the supermarket and a couple of other shops as she was looking for a birthday pressie for her hubby, she found a book he was after and as he is dutch was really pleased to find an assortment of dutch sweets-candy, they were expensive costing around nine dollars, alot of them being licorice and aniseed balls etc.
We had a short trip to pick up a few things at the supermarket, when we came back ,yup you guessed it Taz was licking his lips and looking rather happy with himself , he had torn into all the bags and eaten almost all of the sweets, apart from about six aniseed wheels which he had probably licked and were lying all over the floor.
Jane did not know whether to laugh or cry, we both had a laugh, but of course Taz might not be feeling too well later and i would imagine all that licorice could cause the runs, oh dear, not to mention Jane is nine dollars out of pocket and has to go back and get some more, luckily he did not shred the thirty dollar book, he did put one little nick in it but nothing major.
Puppies eh? as Jane said i should have put them in the boot , i just never gave it a thought, but i know he will eat anything in site, oh well an expensive lesson learnt.
