Ah now where to start......
a couple of weeks ago, me and my boyfriend bought a new kitten. and the day after she came down with cat flu. but we took her to the vets, we have a whole medicine cabinet full of stuff and she got better, but this morning we woke up to find poop and sick all over the floor, and she is shakey, and doesnt have any energy at all.
i would really appreciate if anyone could help with what u think it might be, just so we no wether to worry about it alot? x
Thanks

If she is shaky and has no energy, then YES you should worry!!!
Did she get her shots yet?
If not, I would hate to think it is distemper.
PLEASE take her to your vet. She could have just eaten something bad and gotten sick, but play it safe.
At least PHONE your vet and tell them what happened!
HUGS and keep us posted on your furbaby.

well she was supposed to have her 1st shot on friday but she had the runs because were trying to get her to used to the normal kitten food rather than the expensive vets food, so they couldnt give it to her then. We called the vets n they said to keep her hydrated. they said its £100 for them to look at her, and i know it sounds awful, but we dont want to have to pay it n there not be anything wrong.
its wierd because we didnt have any problems at all with our other kitten.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but have you kept the new kitten isolated from the one you already had?

no thats a good point actually. they just roam about and play with each other.
the other kitten has had her shots n stuff and seems ok. she's also about 10 months older. do u think that would make a ddifference?

Sounds like it might be the food. What is it you are supposed to feed her?
Your older cat could be ok with the expensive food too.
You can call around several vets and see if the food is available cheaper elsewhere.

If it were something contagious, it could make a difference; the difference between one sick cat and two sick cats. I wouldn't want to clean up after one, and two would be twice as bad if there's vomit and feces everywhere with just the one. Did you ask the vet if it was something the other cat could catch from coming in contact with all this 'icky'? I would keep a very close eye on the other cat to catch any symptoms of infection early on so it doesn't go untreated too long.
It's probably like a family when a kid brings home an infection from school; sometimes the other family members will catch it, and sometimes they won't, depending on what type of bacteria/virus it is.

Hope your kitten is doing better. Feed her the more expensive stuff. Hope you can find it cheaper. There are also other high quality foods that are better than the normal store brands and these may cost less too.
When I was unemployed, i tried to feed Spunky the cheap stuff, not realizing he actually needed the expensive stuff. He got sick. I found other ways to cut back so I could feed him the good food.
