OMG Yes. It gives them liver desease. It will slowly kill them. The same effects of what alcohol does to our livers. Just dont do it, Same with raisins, grapes and onions. Just never feed your dog these foods.

All chocolate is bad for dogs, dark chocolate is worse than milk chocolate. The right amount can kill a dog, less will make it very sick.

The sheltie were I used to work ate part of a plate of brownies one Christmas, and spent the whole of Christmas eve throwing up and miserable. He lived, and didn't learn a thing - he would still eat chocolate given the opportunity, but there's a lot of cleaning up to do afterwards.

Dogs cant not tolerate the theobromine inside the chocolate. They aren't "allergic" to it, as most people think. But it can make them very sick. Visa has eaten 2 whole chocolate rabbits and not been sick, but every dog is different and different types of chocolate cause more severe reactions. Just not a risk worth taking!

Yes, coffee is also bad for dogs. Theobromine (in chocolate) is very similar to caffiene, and so they cause the same reactions in dogs.
