I have noticed a spot under Kylie's bottom lip kinda like a scab. I can wipe it off, but it comes back. She looks like she has a dirty spot/mud. A couple weeks ago she jumped up on the computer in front of me and she was bleeding from it like she scratched it open.
I know she is a white cat and they are extremely suspeptible to sunburn/skin cancer but she doesn't go outside enough to have ever gotten sunburned. She is prohibited outside now. I don't allow her out at all other when I am unloading groceries and prop the door open then all I have to do is say something to her and she is gone like a flash!
I think I will call the vet and see if I can get her in for them to see it. Maybe biopsy it, if its big enough.

It could be a little spot of acne. I think cats mostly get skin cancer around their ears, at least that's the only place I've seen it. But I'm sure it can probably crop up anywhere.

I would get it checked out by the vet just to be on the safe side. Hopefully it's nothing but better safe than sorry.

I would take that babe to the vet and have it checked out. It does sound like acne to me!
Have it checked out just in case. But it could be a black spot of some sort. Maya had the same thing on her chin. The vet sqeezed it and she was fine after that.

We have an appt on Tues in the morning. They were booked solid Thurs/Fri. Probably everyone wanting to get in before the holiday weekend.
Is Cat acne dark colored and scab like, I guess I assumed it just looked like pimples. I don't know I have no idea what it could be, doesn't seem to bother her if you didn't know it wasn't supposed to be there you wouldn't know it was there.

I have seen it in all different stages. First it starts as little black spots, almost looks like flea eggs. They are usually around the chin and lips. I would try to scrape them off with your finger, then apply peroxide. Then I would try keeping the chin area clean, with some sort of mild, mild soap or just a wet warm cloth.
Sometimes the blackheads turn into pimples....ugh....and that's when they start looking really icky. My neighbor's cat gets infections on his chin from the acne. For some reason, his mom couldn't be bothered washing his face/chin. Whatever.
I would still take the babe to the Vet to get a educated opinion, just in case!
Let us all know how it turns out!

Hope everything turns out well for poor Kylie. Something must really be bothering her if she's not eating well. :( Paws and fingers crossed here that everything is ok.

We had our appt. It isn't feline acne.
It is in layman's terms "rodent ulcer".

Kylie's looks like the side pic of the white cat.
He gave her a shot and she is on antibiotics and steroids for about a week or so.
He also suggested I use metal food dishes instead of the plastic ones.

So glad you took your kitty to the Vet. We were just guessing about the acne possibility, but yikes, it was much, much more serious than acne.
Keep us posted on the progress of the cure.
Hugs and scrunches/skritches to Kiley.

Hey Kiley, your Mom is only trying to help you get better when she gives you those nasty pills. Most of the felines I know, act as though they are being murdered when it comes to pills. My two are OK but after a few days, they catch on to the routine and it gets more and more difficult as time goes on. Most doggies are easily fooled, but not kitties!
Get well soon Kiley. Chin UP !

Best wishes to Kylie, get well sooooooooooooonnnnnnnn!
About pills.....awhile back Bo had a respiratory tract infection, so we had to give her an antibiotic pill once a day. Our normally mild mannered well behaved show Manx turned into a little spitting witch when it came to getting pilled! My husband had the bright idea of crushing the pill (putting it between two sheets of waxed paper and mashing it with the back of a spoon) and mixing it in with some meat baby food (Bo's favorite treat!). Voila! she gobbled it down and actually asked for more. You may want to try this trick as well to see if you can get your cat to take medicine without a struggle.
