Why do they scare me to death like that?

I usually tote the gerbil habitat with me around the house (no matter how big or clunky it is. :p ).

Right now, it is sitting on a chair facing me. I looked over. There is Bijou (the healthier one) laying flat on her back with her legs in the air! FREAK OUT TIME. I run my finger on the edge (to get their attention but not startle them too much or disturb them too much). She hops right up! Just a minute ago, she did it again. Maybe she is trying to get cool?

I told her not to do that ever again! It freaks me out. :p

My gerbils've never done that to me....Seems to be a major bunny trait though :P

My rats do that, scares me every time lol... When I had the hanging baskets the would ALL cram into the 1 & 1/2 the rats would lean over the edge as if they were dead.. talk about a good scare! hehe
