Eggs!!!!

Today When I let my chickens out of their coop, I had a grand suprise, i ha two eggs! They are the first eggs I have gotten, so this is very exciting for me! Yay!! I posted some pisc!! he he he he!! The chciken in the pic is my Delaware hen, she was actually in the process of laying when I did my daily egg check!:)

That's so cool. Someday I hope to have a couple chickens of my own. Are they going to be 'eating' eggs or do you have a rooster and plan on having chicks?

since they are the first eggs they will be eaten, most say to wait till the hens are 2 before hatching chicks! But yes I have 4 roosters and eventually we will be having chicks! I cant wait till I get my very first babies!! I even have a waiting list already!:)

how exciting!!! i LOVE chickens! if i still had my chickens i'd make a thread about their eggs too! :D i can't wait to see little baby chicks! :D

Well I felt realy Bad about just cracking open my very first egg and eating it! So a firend of mine suggested "blowing" the egg, which is where you placed a very small pin hole at either end of the egg, and Blow out the contents! thus saving the actuall egg! I thought this sounded very cool, so i did it and glazed the egg, created a nest and placed the egg in it! This way I will always have my very first Egg! what do you think???? I also left enough room for when I get my very first white egg, so I can add that one!
