Two months ago, while making my rounds thru an area that many kitties have been dumped in, I stopped by Mrs. C's house to check out who was around. I peeked into the shelter she has set up on her back deck, and spotted three newborn kittens. Mama cat ran out, so I reached in and pulled out three tiny kittens all of one day old. Two were alive, and one was dead. I left the dead one in the shelter while I set up a trap with the 2 surviving babies in it, and watched from my car till mama went in the trap to get the kittens. I have an isolator fork that I put in past the trigger to contain the babies, and make it so mom has to go in to try getting her kittens. I trapped and covered her, and then reached in for the dead baby to bury her. On a whim I stuck her under my shirt against my skin, and after 10 minutes she started breathing a few times. I jostled her, and kept stimulating her and she came back to life! Thus her name became Miracle! Here's Miss Miracle!

Miracle and her mama & brothers...

Her orange brother is a sweetie, but brown brother is still a bit jumpy. Mama was spayed and is in a sanctuary with my friend living with several other semi-ferals, and a lot of abandoned friendly ones as well. Patty had the back yard fenced in with cat fencing so the cats can go in & out of the barn but not escape the yard..I'm so envious lol! Too bad she's full up and can't take any more. The 3 babies are getting spayed, and neutered probably next week, and then off to finishing school! They need to be a bit more socialized to other people besides me to become well adjusted little kitties. :)

Oh, I'm in love with that precious baby tortie! As many "miracle kittens" as you rescue, you may need to name them "Miracle" in other languages to keep them straight. There's Milagro (Spanish), Kiseki (Japanese), Wunder (German), Miracolo (Italian) . . . :D

That's a GREAT idea :) I'm sure Jan will use them :)
Wunder is really nice.I love that one.(German).
I saw a Gunsmoke episode and it meant "home" in a certain Indian Language.(not sure which Indian Language and I'm sure it's spelled different).
Do you know all those languages?I would love to learn new languages.I think
www.rosettastone.com sells CD's to learn different languages :)
Jan has saved 100's of cats/kittens from the streets over the years,so she may just use those sometime in the future. :)
Thanks for that info.I love learning new words in different languages.I may buy some CD's to learn :)

I speak a little Spanish, but I had to look the others up. I especially like "Kiseki."

There are a lot of languages I'd like to learn, too. If only there were more time in the day!
