What kind of sounds do your cat(s) make? I have 5 cats. They all have a different meow and I can pretty much distinguish which one is meowing even if I am not in the same room with them. My favorite sound is the sound I call "whirring". This is the joyful sound that some of my cats make when they are happily running from room to room in my home. Does anyone else's cat whirr?

Mine does all the time. And I whirr back ^_^
Me and Clover have had many a conversation together, meowing and purrting and whirring, as you call it. All I have to do is go "Clover, Prreow!" and she do a "Ffiirrt!" sort of sound and come trotting over.
Of course she never wants me to know that she's coming to me, so she'll take several detours around chairs and couches, but she IS coming to me, which makes me feel very much loved ^_^

Hobo whirrs. It's a mix between a purr and a meow. :)

I swear that once I even heard Fritty (my old cat that my mom kept with the divorce) used to go "Burrt!"
it was funny to hear.

A cat's MRRRRT is a sign of pure love and contentment. Mitzi often will mrrt at me and it always makes me melt.

Mishi is my singing cat - always talking, always has something to say. He talks just for the sake of making noise or at least it seems like it somedays. I love the big goon but he can get annoying.

Mitzi is quiet and has a cute, little squeaky meow. Sometimes she even does those extra-cute silent meows where I can see her mouth moving but nothing comes out.
