It's very hot here, and the air in my apartment is muggy and very warm, so the girls (well, not only the girls!) are suffering.

We've been having a heat wave here too. Ours is supposed to end this evening for a few days. I hope yours ends soon too!

Have you tried an Ice bag?

When I had to take Lucky to the vet that was 1 hour away, he got stressed out even though he was in a a/c car. The vet recommended that I take one of those bags that contains stuff that will freeze, but slowly. I did that, and put an old towel between the ice and cat.......he LOVED it! Kept him cool and calm. And when you have a calm kitty in the car for an hour, that is GOOD!!!! :D

More than ever I am glad that they have the Found Cat Hotel enclosed porch where theres at least a breeze.

The Tigris, being half Siberian lies as stretched as your kits at this heat- but Filou, being Abyssinian (which means not Abyssinian but South East Asian origin) looks for the extra warm spots even now :)

It's hot in San Francisco too. My two were crashed out with the heat until almost 10:00 last night when it finally was cool enough for them to venture out and eat - just in time for ME to go to bed :rolleyes:

They are both miserable in this heat and it's kind of muggy here too. Mitzi I think is the worst as she has an extra-thick wooly undercoat. Mishi plays in the bathtub to stay cool and then comes dashing around the apartment all wet and goofy and cool. I love my silly boy. :D

Luna and Lily also look more and more miserable, and they barely eat. I feel so sorry for them and wish I could help them, but this heat is going to last for many more days - or even weeks... :(
