My neighbor's Doberman/Rottweiler is going to the vet today to move on. She's got various tumors all over her body, and a HUGE one on her shoulder. She is in such a great deal of pain, she yelps, and can barely walk, and if she does, she limps, not just a little limp, a big drag-like limp. She just had her 9 year birthday. She is such an awesome dog. I can't tell you how much I loved her and wished my dogs were like her. She actually babysits kids, and she acts as if she can understand your every word. I grew up with Cocoa, she inspired me. When I went to see her today... I honestly didn't think I was going to cry. But right when I saw her I started bawling. I stayed outside and cried all over her. Cocoa didn't understand what was going on, but everyone around her was bawling. It was like a circle of emotions. Her dad came outside and right when he started petting her he started sobbing and he ran into his room. I'll miss her so much. RIP in a minute Cocoa :(

Yep. My mom went with Cocoa's mum so she didn't have to go alone.

Cocoa, I have some very special friends who have been there long enough to show you the way.

You are going to feel good when you get there. I'm sure of it.

I don't understand why they didnt take her to the vet to get the first tumor removed when they noticed that she had it? Wouldn't that have prevented the rest of the tumors possibly, or at least the vet could have tested the first tumor to see if was cancerous or not and took action to help her out. Wouldn't it have prevented some of her unneccessary pain? I do feel for the dogs owners because its sad to lose an animal, but that is just something I was wondering about. Rest in Peace.

RIP Cocoa. At least she had a lot of people who loved her dearly to the end. And you are going to laugh at that picture of her tongue sticking out sometime down the road.

:( Rest easy, Cocoa. Play with my Rosie at the bridge, she's part rottie, too.

(((hugs))) to you, Zoomer. It hurts to loose such a sweet friend, your post is a touching tribute to dear Cocoa.
