My aunt's fiance lost his other collie today, probably to some toxin. Its a sad lesson that it only takes one incident to lose a loved pet. Bogart only ran into the road once and Diamond isn't known for eating stuff she finds, which is probably what happened just this one time. Play nicely at the bridge Diamond and Bogart.

I light a candle , each Monday night, for beloved Pets that have passed on.

Your story about Diamond, touched my soul.

Dogs do not live as long as we need them to live. Please Remember "Diamond's Devotion" and "emulate" unconditional love in memory of him.

My condolences to Diamond's family. Grieving is such a painful process, may their memories of her give them comfort.
:) Play at the RB with Bogart & all our other RB doggies, Diamond, till our people come for you one day!

They will not go quietly,
the Dogs who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a bark at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
and, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
Although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
There is that one place in our hearts
that belongs to them...and always will.

I was praying for better news. Unfortunately, they're so quick, it takes a second to eat something they shouldn't or never had before. I'm so so sad and sorry. What a horrible accident. I know that Bogart welcomed Diamond with open paws and that they're both safe, healthy and happy and looking down on their family with messages of thanks and love. Halos and angel wings little ones.

They were too sad to get the results right after she died, but today I got an email from my aunt about Diamond.
"The Vet called today and said that she researched the blood test results, ect and she really thinks Diamond died of a uterine infection. She thinks that it burst and no matter what we did, the results would have been the same. She wouldn't have made it out of surgery. It didn't show up on the x ray because it probably already burst. That poor dog. She never let on that she was in pain."

I have just recently lost my dog Emerson, and it came as a shock, as he also ran into the street and was hit by a car! I would love to chat with you when you feel up to it! And you are in my prayers!
