I got a sarasa comet tonight with anchor worms on the outside. I removed them by hand and the wounds aren't bleeding into the water so hopefully she does alright. I hope she lives up to her name and is lucky. I'll try for better pictures later, the ones I just took didn't turn out.

She's so hard to take pictures of because she's got white and my camera doesn't like this brand of batteries. In the first picture you see a dark spot on her where a worm was. The second picture is too bright to see. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/bbflygirl/new2.jpg

She's very pretty. :D Its hard to take pictures of Reich(my fantail) for some reason.. though I don't know why since he doesn't have much white at all.
(Sorry to be a bit off topic, but how can you tell if a goldfish is male or female? I've always called Reich a he, but I'm not certain.)

You tell mostly by vent shape http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/bbflygirl/goldfish.jpg But sometimes that's hard so you just have to wait until they come into season, the females will sometimes lay eggs in the tank with a male present or not and the males will have breeding tubercles (white dots) on their gills and fins.

Thanks. :D
Later I'll transfer the little guy to a smaller tank temporary, so I can get a better look... he isn't being still for me right now^^... but when is he ever?

Well, she's not bottom sitting anymore. She's definately suffering stress because the veins in her fins and tail are very obvious and that's a big sign of stress. I don't understand how a fish who lived in a 72 gallon tank with just one other fish in perfect water conditions could have gotten to a point where her health is going downhill from stress. I have a few more pictures. In one you can see two sores quite well. The one where she is turning around shows off her true colours well. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/bbflygirl/surte1.jpg
