The kitty that I believe was blind( ?) and whose two fangs were quite long? I was thinking about him (I have'nt any idea as to why) but he always struck me as being such a special little guy and I can't remember his name. anyone have any idea who I am referring too ?

Yea, that is Queenscoopalots Skippy Doo (I think is his name) and he is one of her many special needs babies. I forget what all is wrong with him, he is blind and I think only has his fang teeth and she loves him dearly! She is so busy trapping and hardly comes here anymore and I sure miss her.

JAN! I MISS YOU!

Yes, I think you may be right, Laura. I always had a soft spot for him whenever I saw his pictures. I am glad you remembered who I was thinking of :) What does queenscoopalot trap ? Is it fish or some wild creatures ?

She traps feral cats and rehomes them by the dozens! She's one of PT's cat-rescue angels. :D

"She traps feral cats and rehomes them by the dozens! She's one of PT's cat-rescue angels"

LOL! I'm sorry, but I was really off track on that. I was thinking of trapping ,like an outdoorsman(woman) would be doing in trapping like either fish, beavers, bears ,mountain lions, otters, etc.

Well I am glad she is trapping kitties to find them good homes rather than trapping bears

There are just to many rescue stories of her's to list them all but you can do a search and find them.. She is a ANGEL to those kitties in her area. That first story shows what lengths she will go to, to save them...

Hi Everybuddy! I'm stranded without a car so can't go trapping all those mamas & babies today. Skippy has one eye although it's hard to tell when he gives me his "I love you" :) look. He was also born with half of his front leg missing which he uses as his "clobber club" lol! He tries to smack any cat that he doesn't want invading his space, but it's not too effective! He's my happy-go-lucky Skippy Doo who has to do headrubbies with me everytime I get a chance to hold him. He's so silly. :D Here's a link to the only decent pictures I have of him, black being so hard to photograph. He's not by any means little either...he must weigh 15Lbs. but he's a big armful of love lol!

Hi Jan!! Glad I didn't have the facts about Skippy to messed up. I knew immediately who she was asking about.. How is Skippy doing these days.. Amy asks about Eli a lot ( :D ) and wants to know how he is doing.

Now that you are stranded at home, maybe you can give us some updates on your crew?

Hi Laura! Tell sweet Amy that Eli has become fat & lazy! He does not like getting into the litterpan any more, and prefers to pee etc. on the linoleum instead *sigh* My newest baby boy Avery who has micropthalmia is just the most delighful and talkative little guy. :) He's teething so when he's on my lap which he insists on every chance he gets, he bites, bites, BITES! I try to redirect his behaviour by substituting a toy instead, but he loses interest fast and wants back up on my lap to start that biting and bleating (he sounds like a baby goat lol) again. He's all over the place now, and gets around very well despite limited vision. He seems to see shadows much like our special guy Gabriel (Megs boy). I've trapped countless cats & kittens so far this year. One of the last trappings was a kitten that had fallen into a storm drain a few blocks from my house. "Stormie" (he earned that name lol) was pulled from the manhole quickly, after I lowered his panting agitated mama "Lucy" into the manhole in a cage. He had gone through a pipe between manholes, but when he heard his mama he tottered right out. It was thought that 2 kittens fell down, but it turned out the other was a block away crammed behind a shed with his 2 remaining littemates. Getting them out was another fiasco as well, but with help from the great neighbors who pulled apart a stockade fence, we got them all. Lucy went to her feeders/and furever home yesterday. :) The babies all had terrible conjunctivitis which cleared up very quickly after their eyes were cleaned & medicated. They are doing very well now. ;) Many, many more tails to tell...but later. ;)
P.S. Skippy is doing wonderful as ever...I just love him even when he covers my sweat soaked face with his lovely black fur lol! :D

Hi and thanks for the info and update on skippy-doo. He IS the kitty I had been wondering about and that is the picture (above) that I remember seeing.

I am glad to hear he is doing ok , as there just seems to be something so very special about that little guy :)

He is a big adorable lump of love! But not little by any stretch of the imagination lol! :D He's busy hopping (or I should say skipping) along behind me wanting to do heatbutties while I scoop potties. :) I'm soaked with sweat & "Kippy fur now. :D He is VERY Special to me...a survivor of terrible pneumonia that took a long time to knock out of him, and he lost his other chocolate brown eye from infection, despite the vets & me doing everything possible. At least I have him all these years later. ;)

(see! I told you she loves him dearly!)

He is so lucky to have Jan and so are all the other kitties in her Mash Unit. My dream is someday to meet her and all those sweeties she has..

HOW is Kirby?? He is the one that has stole my heart....

Kirby is a happy little bedlump Laura. He loves laying on the bed and watching the birds outside. When I go to bed he shuffles over to me and body slams me for attention lol! Poor boy can't help it, and of course he gets oodles of pats and kisses. ;) He always tucks himself under Dave's arm at night as Dave sleeps on his back which Kirby loves. I'm a belly sleeper lol! He's such a sweet dear boy. Now I need to add my little goat Avery's picture to the M*A*S*H Unit siggy! He meows just like a kid/baby goat..or should I say bleats lol?

While we're getting updates, how's that sweet Georgie boy doing?

QueenScoopalot
07-12-2006, 07:04 AM
Georgie is doing wonderful! I'm his official itch scritcher since his surgery failed and he can't use his hind legs. I also help him into the potty when he gives me that 'look'. ;) He uses empty canned cat food boxes as a sled for his rear end, which is so smart of him lol. :D I throw a few down on the floor and he plunks his butt into them and zooooms off across the floors with his front legs, dragging the box along behind him. I adore my Puddin' Pie! :)

Just picturing Georgie scooting around in that box makes me laugh so I could imaging how you reacted the first time you saw him do it. Isn't it just amazing how determined and creative these kitties can be? Do we have to beg for pictures? PLEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEE?
