What a nice story. I think you should consider a cat of your own; that way you can have the best of both worlds. You can still visit with Penelope when you see your parents, but you can also have a cat who needs a good home for your own.

It's so nice to see a tabby selected from another country. She looks a lot like our tabby "Keiko" who is also eight yrs old, loves to lounge around the yard and hunt critters.;)

It is too bad that she couldn't move in with her original guardian--but staying put in the home she grew up in is probably for the best.

We hope she enjoys her day as the cat of the day. We send her catnip? and head scratches from our feline trio.

Penelope, what a very sweet story you have! I was even more charmed when I discovered it was your 'daddy' tellling the story and not your 'mommy'. I'm so happy that you were taken in by such a loving family, and even though you are not still living with them, you are still in their hearts. Congratulations on being Cat of the Day!
